if they put fultz in there maybe they dont even have to include saric

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 November 2018 19:15 (seven years ago)

phillys ownership has got to be just trash, they hired that wall st process guy who didnt know anything about basketball and years after firing him their young players are still developing weird

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 November 2018 19:16 (seven years ago)

A hinkie apologist would argue that as long as embiid pans out he’s vindicated and fultz was a colangelo pick which essentially boils down to a league office imposition

tsrobodo, Saturday, 10 November 2018 19:32 (seven years ago)

minn might not have been interested in a pg who could generously be described as “developmental”

call all destroyer, Saturday, 10 November 2018 19:32 (seven years ago)

I want a peek into that alternate universe where Hinkie is still sixers GM

I like Poeltls (fionnland), Saturday, 10 November 2018 19:33 (seven years ago)

yeah but they could have also had other guys besides noel who they had to give up on before they were ready to compete because it was such a long rebuild and okafor who just wasn't a great player

ciderpress, Saturday, 10 November 2018 19:35 (seven years ago)

76ers now have two top 12-15 players and three in the top ~25. All three play defense. They’re going to be really good. They will need to bring on some more shooting of course. Landry Shamet will probably get a lot of burn.

Spottie, Saturday, 10 November 2018 20:09 (seven years ago)

simmons is a curio imho

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 November 2018 21:00 (seven years ago)

team generally is a paper tiger

lag∞n, Saturday, 10 November 2018 21:00 (seven years ago)

I guess we got Bayless too?
Don't know anything about him

How have the Bulls been? Now you have to compare this to what we let go for Butler

Now you have to tear it all down again, Thibs/Layden have to go, get in hopefully a coach with modern sensibilities, try to see if KAT and Wiggins can be reengaged...

Such a fuckin mess

Feel like Saric and Convington obv aren't stars but good players to have on a team, though you guys would know more

Hey let's bring back Rambis, dust off the triangle, what a shitshow

Greta Van Fleek (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Saturday, 10 November 2018 21:01 (seven years ago)

Covington was first team all defence last season. When he's in the zone, he can lock down the best player on the other team and can hit down the 3 at a good rate. If he works on his consistency I think he could be great value on the current contract.

Saric is also good but has been regressing this season. Hopefully picks up.

Bayless is basically salary filler and I reckon he shouldn't get any minutes under Thibs.

But yeah, get a new coach already so this isn't all wasted

I like Poeltls (fionnland), Saturday, 10 November 2018 21:24 (seven years ago)

bayless is likely to be cut/waived

Spottie, Saturday, 10 November 2018 21:30 (seven years ago)

micah, Saturday, 10 November 2018 23:11 (seven years ago)

otm

ciderpress, Saturday, 10 November 2018 23:11 (seven years ago)

How about Shai G-A. Or even Shai since I think he’s the only one with that name in the league. Or wait until he gets a nickname that people recognize.

Stop with the fucking initials for everyone.

EZ Snappin, Saturday, 10 November 2018 23:14 (seven years ago)

Actually, do what you want. I can ignore both of you clowns.

EZ Snappin, Saturday, 10 November 2018 23:15 (seven years ago)

Easy, EZ

I like Poeltls (fionnland), Saturday, 10 November 2018 23:15 (seven years ago)

Seems like shai has a sweet highlight play every game. Think he’s already taken the starting slot from Avery?

Spottie, Saturday, 10 November 2018 23:22 (seven years ago)

Yeah it was communicated he took it last night. Though Avery is out with a foot injury. Can't really see him taking him back on current form though.

I like Poeltls (fionnland), Saturday, 10 November 2018 23:23 (seven years ago)

He’s talented and I’m pleasantly surprised how quickly he’s adapted to the NBA game. Clippers drafted well.

EZ Snappin, Saturday, 10 November 2018 23:24 (seven years ago)

ohw ait its not even shane its Shaivonte

ciderpress, Saturday, 10 November 2018 23:30 (seven years ago)

hes like if exum was good

micah, Saturday, 10 November 2018 23:35 (seven years ago)

exum is just always injured

Spottie, Saturday, 10 November 2018 23:48 (seven years ago)

Looking like melo isn’t even gonna make it to thanksgiving on the rockets lmao

Spottie, Sunday, 11 November 2018 03:53 (seven years ago)

melo needs to hang his head and take it to china already

Clay, Sunday, 11 November 2018 03:56 (seven years ago)

nobody could have seen that coming.

EZ Snappin, Sunday, 11 November 2018 03:56 (seven years ago)

Rockets lost again and Chris Paul looks like he’s about to go in the oven. That contract may sink the rockets.

Spottie, Sunday, 11 November 2018 04:18 (seven years ago)

cp3 is so far past his expect expiration date its ridiculous and when the wheels come off w guys like him they come off fast

lag∞n, Sunday, 11 November 2018 04:22 (seven years ago)

guess i did not realize dude turns 34 this spring

Clay, Sunday, 11 November 2018 04:24 (seven years ago)

jesus he's shooting 30-27-78 so far this year yikes

Clay, Sunday, 11 November 2018 04:25 (seven years ago)

thereve been some exceptional slow starts this year (most of them on the celtics)

lag∞n, Sunday, 11 November 2018 04:29 (seven years ago)

Maybe you shouldn't sign a max deal with the guy who changed the rules so he could get a max deal even though he was too old under prior rules.

EZ Snappin, Sunday, 11 November 2018 04:29 (seven years ago)

they came sooooo close last year tho

lag∞n, Sunday, 11 November 2018 04:30 (seven years ago)

rockets are in disarray imo. spurs are missing like 5 guys and demar was shooting p bad, and the rox still never really challenged them.

derrick white in his second game: 14 pts, 8 ast, 4 reb, 2 stls. great playmaking; a lot of those 8 asts were tough needle-threading passes. great d on switches, kept a hand in the face of shooters without risking fouls. once dejounte murray is healthy next year, these two are going to stifle a lot of backcourts and make a killing in transition.

21st savagery fox (m bison), Sunday, 11 November 2018 04:33 (seven years ago)

this is truly an era of exceptionally ludicrous contracts

Clay, Sunday, 11 November 2018 04:33 (seven years ago)

Derrick White looked niiice today. Spurs make a lot more sense if that’s gonna be his normal type of production.

Spottie, Sunday, 11 November 2018 04:33 (seven years ago)

lol what the hell

Joel Embiid talked with Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins about Jimmy Butler. "They thought that we were definitely going to get along," Embiid told ESPN. "He wants to win. Wiggs told me that he thought that we were going to win the East for sure."

lag∞n, Sunday, 11 November 2018 04:41 (seven years ago)

he played exactly the sort of game i expected him to based on his g league/summer league play. he's made a few rookie errors here and there, but he's just got a lot of skill in a lot of areas, lots of little things that are valuable in the league today (closeout defense, switching, intercepting passing lanes, sharp passes, lobs, playing in pnr, outside shooting). he is basically sliding right into manu's role, and what he lacks in experience he upgrades in terms of athleticism.

xp

21st savagery fox (m bison), Sunday, 11 November 2018 04:41 (seven years ago)

lakers are beating the kings but even if they win the kings will still have a better record ha

lag∞n, Sunday, 11 November 2018 04:51 (seven years ago)

honestly the messiest trade idea i can think of is the rockets should trade chris paul to the lakers. rockets might just miss the playoffs and they are stuck with a huge payroll moving forward. cp3 will only get worse. lakers should do it bc the big names might not be there this summer. rockets should do it to not pay luxury tax on a floundering team and get as much value on cp3 before he craters. anyway thats my ted talk. ps - lakers should keep rondo in this deal for max drama.

21st savagery fox (m bison), Sunday, 11 November 2018 04:57 (seven years ago)

rondo and cp3 shd have to be roommates too and lebron is their landlord

lag∞n, Sunday, 11 November 2018 05:00 (seven years ago)

RONDO HAS DONE IT!!!

im not enthused by the jimmy trade for either team. i would like it for the sixers except for the part where you have to give jimmy a $185 million contract or whatever it's gonna be. some of the concerns upthread are valid but also i think stuff about fit and whatever is overblown. those are 3 legitimate all star players. my one big concern is just the way jimmy has left both of his teams.

for the wolves i think it's pretty wack... saric is a good player but i don't think makes sense on the wolves, and you have to pay him a big contract in 2 years. idk what offers were still on the table but i think josh richardson is better than him and is on a better contract. but they might've had to take back a bad contract in return.
