portland is not very cool anymore bc everyone decided it was cool and moved here and now it is rich and bad but it is prob still cooler than most places idk i never leave

idk I liked it it seemed like there were tall buildings and bike lanes and mountains and stuff what more could one want

mostly just like all the old trashy places i loved got gentrified out as a ton of tech money came in over the last ten years. that and there's a really bad housing/rent crisis over the last five or so years, portland used to be v cheap and "livable" and now it's like going in that bay area / seattle direction of real estate exclusivity. avg home price in the metro area has doubled in the last five years i think?

As a New Englander lost in the South since 2011 I’m finding it a nice mix of both Northern and Southern cultures. I could see myself settling down here which I couldn’t have imagined in Dallas or Charlotte
