I understand rookie addiction now. I never did before, you know. How could a man do something so self-destructive, knowing that they’re hurting not only themselves, but the people they love? if drummond had turned into a better defender things would be different but he hasn't been that guy.

my question on ariza was sort of rhetorical but the way i recall that going was that the first reports were him signing with phx for the 15 mil. idk, maybe he really did want to be somewhere else. my best guess is the rockets thought he was about to decline and also thought he was replaceable with a min guy. call me old-fashioned but when you're two quarters away from the finals you go all in to retain the people that were involved in that, especially when the years are short.
