i liked connaughton some when he was on portland but like i don't know if he's more than a solid 9th-10th man type. otoh it's always good to have a couple of those guys.

i must have told this story here but i ran into my uncle and cousin on the td garden concourse a couple years ago when the blazers were in town. they were there with a big arlington contingent to support connaughton when he was a rookie. the game got into garbage time in the 4th so he actually played a bunch and tyou could here the crowd cheering for him, it was cool.

I understand rookie addiction now. I never did before, you know. How could a man do something so self-destructive, knowing that they’re hurting not only themselves, but the people they love? It seemed that it would be so incredibly easy for them to just not to watch the next time, not to tune into the garbage time minutes. Just stop. It’s so simple, really. But as so often happens with me, my arrogance kept me from seeing the truth of the matter.

I see it now though.
