Also, McMillan would never start Sabonis but wouldn’t be shocked if Sabonis ends up playing more minutes than Turner this season. Both 22yrs but have to admit Sabonis’s inside game is so much more polished with one less year in the league; not sure if Turner’s outside game really makes up the difference, esp. considering Sabonis is probably a better passer and rebounder atm.

Yeah, Turner contract still seems fine – this time last year Pacers were debating a Turner max deal, so 4/$72 is totally manageable, and might end up being very team-friendly as he hits his prime. Sabonis is going to play himself into a really generous extension, though. He’s doing most of his damage against 2nd teams, but there’s a chance they try to play Turner/Sabonis less together and just max out Sabonis’ minutes. He has little TRex arms but not sure that’s as damaging now as it might’ve been with more post play.

Turner/Sabonis pairing was supposed to be the big experiment this year but it’s a weird rotation to get there.

couldve been fatigue. he played a LOT of minutes in that OT game against LAL on monday.

Tyreke has been ballin fine so far. Very deep bench, so they're still figuring out how much to use him. Think they're realizing that healthy Tyreke vs. 2nd teams is a no-brainer, so the more they can have him drive-kick to McDermott (and now Joseph, who has played better than Collison so far), the better. Basically, just 30 Tyreke/Sabonis pnrs a game, with Tyreke making the decisions rather than Joseph. Only minus for Tyreke so far is that he's been settling for jumpers, but he's still a decent enough shooter to let it slide.
