i mean, not really haha. bryn forbes and patty mills are it. forbes is starting and he's a great shooter (5-8 from 3 tonight) but he does not have the defensive chops at all. first two games in and the opposing PG has been the leading scorer. he's a little bigger than patty though and gives better chase through screens as far as i can tell. this is why losing dejounte was so bad. derrick white should be back and he's v good, bigger than forbes or mills with real playmaking and PnR skills and some outside shooting. they'll be steadier in a month or two when he gets back.

i hate to say it but i think patty is washed. i love him as a human being and they obv need some leadership in sa after all their roster changes, but he is a liability on the floor if he doesn't hit 3s.

Yeah absolutely horrendous contracts. I was expecting Patty to get packaged with Kawhi - but I'm not sure if PATFO convinced themselves they needed a more consistent 3 shooter, with Danny icyhot.

I did enjoy 9 assists for DeRozan which was a part of his game I was kind of ignorant about. Could be a loooooong season though.

looking at the lakers schedule coming up, and being under .500 after 13 or so games into the season is a real possibility

especially since they'll be without ingram and rondo for at least a couple of games now

i bet they'll get more than just a couple. nba has had a good run of no incidents like these since malice at the palace and has had a lot of good PR in recent seasons. i dont think itll be 20 games but at least a handful if not double digits.
