given that he's through year 3 and has been injured it's reasonable to reduce his ceiling a decent amount.

btw there's been a ton of good stuff on espn classic this week, lotta 90s hardwood classics. i was watching game 6 of the '93 finals last night and marveling at barkley's skill level as a passer and his great touch around the basket.

i think bc we got duncan and nowitzki and malone for PF competition and the whole recency bias thing. plus he's been a dickhead on tv for so long.

also maybe bc it's impossible to imagine a guy with barkley's shape/size playing in todays nba

it's weird, he's listed as 6'6" but 6'4" is much more likely. feel like draymond is comparable as far as "how does this guy play this position so well"

for real, also weird that barkley doesnt like draymond, seems like a man after his own heart.

In the past month I've had a 20 yr old dude ask me if "that guy on the TNT show...was he any good when he played??" and seen some rando online trying to downplay MJ's titles because "the best guy on the Suns was Barkley?? that's who MJ had to go thru to win???". So yeah I think Chuck doesn't get his due now. Incredible basketball player. Amazed at his FG% during his prime while putting up those scoring numbers at 6'4".

chuck had the misfortune of playing alongside MJ and karl malone who stole some PF thunder from him. and then by the time we had a chance to appreciate him, duncan and nowitzki came in.
