― InfoWarriors (Spottie), Friday, 20 July 2018 21:05 (seven years ago)
this is gonna be a legendary roster
― ciderpress, Friday, 20 July 2018 21:57 (seven years ago)
going all in on weird dude energy
i know its lebron and those young guys have potential but holy shit what a fucked up team
― 21st savagery fox (m bison), Friday, 20 July 2018 22:16 (seven years ago)
They still have that Luol Deng contract for some reason
― reggae mike love (polyphonic), Friday, 20 July 2018 22:30 (seven years ago)
they are gonna be must watch tv. if ingram/ball/kuzma/hart all make a leap this year all these other moves wont matter as much. but if they have to rely heavily on lance/beas/mcgee/rondo it could get really ugly.
their center rotation is non existent.
― InfoWarriors (Spottie), Friday, 20 July 2018 22:30 (seven years ago)
not sure why they havent cut him and stretch provisioned that thing out xp
― InfoWarriors (Spottie), Friday, 20 July 2018 22:32 (seven years ago)
lebron is gonna play a lot of center i think?
― Clay, Friday, 20 July 2018 22:35 (seven years ago)
Bold prediction: Zubac will play more minutes than McGee
― reggae mike love (polyphonic), Friday, 20 July 2018 22:43 (seven years ago)
seems likely
― 21st savagery fox (m bison), Friday, 20 July 2018 22:44 (seven years ago)
might pretend to care about the raptors now
wooooo
― ( ͡☉ ͜ʖ ͡☉) (jim in vancouver), Friday, 20 July 2018 22:45 (seven years ago)
could be. he looked alright his rookie year but pretty shook last year
― InfoWarriors (Spottie), Friday, 20 July 2018 22:45 (seven years ago)
raptors with kawhi could be a problem
― reggae mike love (polyphonic), Friday, 20 July 2018 22:49 (seven years ago)
they are the 2 seed if he's healthy and not tanking the season
― InfoWarriors (Spottie), Friday, 20 July 2018 22:49 (seven years ago)
@dmay706 Follow Follow @dmay706Lakers really living that meme where you have $15 to build a team and you spend $11 on LeBron and you're not really sure what to do with the rest.

toronto could run a smallball lineup of lowry/van fleet/green/leonard/jonas that would be quite good.
― 21st savagery fox (m bison), Friday, 20 July 2018 22:52 (seven years ago)
jonas wouldnt be in a small ball lineup tho. swap him for ibaka
― InfoWarriors (Spottie), Friday, 20 July 2018 22:56 (seven years ago)
oh true, i was just thinking for "offense" i guess
― 21st savagery fox (m bison), Friday, 20 July 2018 22:57 (seven years ago)
you could probably swap anunoby for green, too
theyre gonna have a ton of defensive versatility
― InfoWarriors (Spottie), Friday, 20 July 2018 22:57 (seven years ago)
I'm a Siakamaniac
― reggae mike love (polyphonic), Friday, 20 July 2018 23:05 (seven years ago)
they have medication for that now
― 21st savagery fox (m bison), Friday, 20 July 2018 23:14 (seven years ago)
small baller brand
― ciderpress, Saturday, 21 July 2018 00:22 (seven years ago)
so, the east is...bos/tor/phi in legit contention, ind/mil in the middle? cavs could weirdly still make the playoffs bc i cant see many of the other teams making big enough jumps with their moves. if porzingis is healthy maybe the knicks. if detroit figures their shit out? woof.
― 21st savagery fox (m bison), Saturday, 21 July 2018 00:34 (seven years ago)
so, the east is...
it's hard to see the east conference as relevant next season when the Finals roll around. maybe the Celtics with Hayward and Irving back make a noise. or maybe the Warriors lose some key pieces to injury. gonna be a very weird season all around because of James in LA with the Munsters.
― A is for (Aimless), Saturday, 21 July 2018 00:42 (seven years ago)
celtics and raptors will be relevant with current rosters
― ciderpress, Saturday, 21 July 2018 00:57 (seven years ago)
gotta get that top 16 seed thing worked out before fall
― Clay, Saturday, 21 July 2018 02:00 (seven years ago)
wth bjelica was supposed to go to the 76ers then said nah going to Europe then decided nah gonna sign a 3/20 with... the kings?
― InfoWarriors (Spottie), Saturday, 21 July 2018 02:20 (seven years ago)
he just didn't want to sign a one-year contract, which he has now parlayed into getting a massive overpay from the kings.
― call all destroyer, Saturday, 21 July 2018 02:21 (seven years ago)
in related news i was trying to check on his status earlier today and realized that there is no player whose name i had less of an idea how to spell....like i was typing stuff into google and usually search suggestions bails you out but i wasn't even close.
― call all destroyer, Saturday, 21 July 2018 02:23 (seven years ago)
3rd year not guaranteed but my god he made himself *at least* an extra 9 million bucks by being indecisive. that's incredible work.
― call all destroyer, Saturday, 21 July 2018 02:25 (seven years ago)
the kings are so weird. and yeh every time i see his name i want to pronounce it bell-ick-uh
― InfoWarriors (Spottie), Saturday, 21 July 2018 03:09 (seven years ago)
From a fan's point of view, that makes excellent sense. I'd love to see it happen. But more people live on the east coast and seeding by conference allows some weak teams in the weaker conference to claim playoff spots and the owners might see value in that. And they own the league.
― A is for (Aimless), Saturday, 21 July 2018 03:50 (seven years ago)
wouldnt 1-16 seeding give all superteams an easier path
― micah, Saturday, 21 July 2018 04:15 (seven years ago)
Only if the super teams are in the stronger conference of the two. LeBron's Miami Heat team got the benefit of western teams beating up on whoever emerged into the Finals, while they mostly coasted in.
― A is for (Aimless), Saturday, 21 July 2018 04:25 (seven years ago)
its still a 100% chance instead of the current 50% chance of facing a true bottom feeder
― micah, Saturday, 21 July 2018 04:33 (seven years ago)
also 1-16 doesnt address the root problem of players preferring big markets and warmer climates. imo this tendency should be combatted with salary loadings relative to lost endorsement opportunities, regional tax variations, and possibly even player perception
Just don’t think owners will ever agree to it
― InfoWarriors (Spottie), Saturday, 21 July 2018 05:57 (seven years ago)
yogi ferrel also reneged on a deal with the mavs to take 900k more from the kings lol
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 21 July 2018 07:54 (seven years ago)
not sure the kings need to necessarily be pissing off other teams around the league...
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 21 July 2018 07:55 (seven years ago)
to put that in perspective though 900k is more than half his total career earnings to date and amounts to like 20% more than the Mavs deal.
Maybe hurts his future earnings playing in a dumpster fire but that shit isn't promised anyway.
― tsrobodo, Saturday, 21 July 2018 08:40 (seven years ago)
he also got his second year guaranteed iirc
― micah, Saturday, 21 July 2018 10:23 (seven years ago)
This is starting to feel deliberate

Here are the 2017-18 offensive activity heatmaps for new Lakers Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, and Michael Beasley. They're in gif form, but I'll post individual player charts in this thread. pic.twitter.com/4Uum2zq61b— Positive Residual (@presidual) July 20, 2018

Feel like a healthy Celtics team could beat the Warriors. They came real close in the winter.
― DJI, Saturday, 21 July 2018 16:48 (seven years ago)
anybody watching the basketball tournament? somehow never really paid attention to this. it's cool seeing pros going up against former college players -- really shows you how good average to belo average NBA players are
― k3vin k., Saturday, 21 July 2018 20:31 (seven years ago)
The average level of talent and ability in the NBA is insanely high. Some of the guys we consider NBA washouts or failures would be highly prized players in most other pro leagues or university programs.
― A is for (Aimless), Saturday, 21 July 2018 21:49 (seven years ago)
xp where is the basketball tournament being broadcast?
― call all destroyer, Saturday, 21 July 2018 23:33 (seven years ago)
ESPN3
