i kinda like all the okc moves this summer. one year under their belt plus they know PG is locked in so they dont need to tip toe around that any more. i kinda think schroders problems are a little overstated at this point. he's a fine guy to have as your 4th or 5th best player. think he's a much better playmaker than reggie jackson as well..

Russ's late game decision making will always be their achilles heel tho

still think the central question w/ them is whether you can win a playoff series if nobody in your own franchise can prevent russell westbrook from shooting 40 times per game

in my defense the orlando magic theory was proposed before the oladipo / ibaka trade

i thought oladipo was actually good entirely based on a single celtics-magic game i went to where he went off and looked really impressive, and turned out to be right eventually but it took 2 trades to happen

i liked the theory but they ruined it with bad moves yup

i have some ideas in mind for which teams will outperform expectations next year but i want to see the rest of the offseason play out first

so, the east is...bos/tor/phi in legit contention, ind/mil in the middle? cavs could weirdly still make the playoffs bc i cant see many of the other teams making big enough jumps with their moves. if porzingis is healthy maybe the knicks. if detroit figures their shit out? woof.

it's hard to see the east conference as relevant next season when the Finals roll around. maybe the Celtics with Hayward and Irving back make a noise. or maybe the Warriors lose some key pieces to injury. gonna be a very weird season all around because of James in LA with the Munsters.

in related news i was trying to check on his status earlier today and realized that there is no player whose name i had less of an idea how to spell....like i was typing stuff into google and usually search suggestions bails you out but i wasn't even close.

3rd year not guaranteed but my god he made himself *at least* an extra 9 million bucks by being indecisive. that's incredible work.
