I have always counted myself among those who cautioned not to read the spurs' obituary prematurely (and we've always been right), but I don't really see a scenario where the spurs get home court in the west in 2019. think it's the end of an era tbh

they won 47 games with one rly good player and finished 3GB from the #3 seed. they'll be better this year with whoever they get from the kawhi trade. it's not out of the question for them to be a top 4 seed.

be interesting to see what happens with kawhi for sure, if he really has his heart set on the clippers shd the spurs even bother trading him clippers got nothing

no, clippers dont have shit outside of tobias harris (who i kinda like but doesnt do much for the spurs now or in the future). lakers are not trading ingram so i think a lakers deal is sunk unless a deal elsewhere is imminent and magic panics

i'm guessing neither the hawks nor nets think they're far enough along in their rebuild to consider throwing a big offer at capela though if i were them i'd certainly stop and think about it for 10 minutes. he's a really good player.

and if i'm capela i'd seriously consider playing on the qualifying offer if the rockets won't get in the area of $20M a year.

celtics as constructed are exactly the type of team that can beat the warriors, which will seem obvious in retrospect

i mean the rockets werent event the right type of team and weirdly never quite gelled and prob wldve beat them if not for a bad cp3 hammy
