feel like maybe the wiz is the true spiritual home dwight has been seeking all these years

sprout god (lag∞n), Tuesday, 3 July 2018 22:50 (eight years ago)

imagining dwight doing his schtick to a completely despondent lockerroom until someone kills him or themselves

sprout god (lag∞n), Tuesday, 3 July 2018 22:57 (eight years ago)

could def see this wiz roster in a cultish mass suicide situation

Clay, Tuesday, 3 July 2018 23:00 (eight years ago)

markieff and wave papi were both in the top ten for techs last year. they added dwight who was #1

Hall of Fam (Spottie), Tuesday, 3 July 2018 23:06 (eight years ago)

(KD, Dray and DMC all in the top 15)

Hall of Fam (Spottie), Tuesday, 3 July 2018 23:07 (eight years ago)

The Spurs are reportedly asking for Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, Kyle Kuzma, two first-round picks and two pick swaps in exchange for Kawhi Leonard https://t.co/H1UuRTNDQX pic.twitter.com/GJSkWrNNY4

sprout god (lag∞n), Tuesday, 3 July 2018 23:49 (eight years ago)

fair.

EZ Snappin, Tuesday, 3 July 2018 23:59 (eight years ago)

the alternating picks and pick swaps clearly inspired by ainges fleecing of brooklyn

sprout god (lag∞n), Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:00 (eight years ago)

hah that was my first thought

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:03 (eight years ago)

the wizards have now added austin rivers, jeff green, and dwight. i guess if you're going to just go full heel it's a good group.

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:05 (eight years ago)

those guys are more just lame tho lol

sprout god (lag∞n), Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:06 (eight years ago)

otm, i considered and rejected "villain"

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:09 (eight years ago)

jeff green seems like a great dude and good teammate, he's just not assertive enough. austin def a heel tho

Hall of Fam (Spottie), Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:13 (eight years ago)

wonder what wld be the at all reasonable deal that the spurs and lakers cld agree on, ingram kuz a 1st and a swap?

sprout god (lag∞n), Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:17 (eight years ago)

2 1sts maybe

sprout god (lag∞n), Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:18 (eight years ago)

except now kawhi doesnt even want to play w lebron lol

sprout god (lag∞n), Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:18 (eight years ago)

i'd take ingram kuz 2 firsts as the spurs

ciderpress, Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:18 (eight years ago)

kawhi not making a great case that hes not a headcase rn

sprout god (lag∞n), Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:19 (eight years ago)

also whos bidding against the lakers we all know the celtics arent gonna give anything near what the spurs are asking

sprout god (lag∞n), Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:19 (eight years ago)

yeah it's all a v weird heel turn

ciderpress, Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:20 (eight years ago)

there has to be some factor we just don't know about none of it has made sense from the start

ciderpress, Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:20 (eight years ago)

like maybe celtics do kyrie + the lesser of the sac/mem picks

sprout god (lag∞n), Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:21 (eight years ago)

i think kawhi just might be a headcase + has the wrong ppl in his ear

sprout god (lag∞n), Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:22 (eight years ago)

kawhi should get traded to the lakers for a bunch of stuff and then sit out another year in protest of who knows what, that to me would be ideal

Clay, Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:32 (eight years ago)

i support this proposal

sprout god (lag∞n), Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:34 (eight years ago)

kawhi should do anything other than hamstring one of the only orgs that can build good non-superteam teams

ciderpress, Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:41 (eight years ago)

man brow wore yr jersey in the allstar game bro

Kurt Helin @basketballtalk

Report: Pelicans offered DeMarcus Cousins two-year contract near $40 million after injury

sprout god (lag∞n), Wednesday, 4 July 2018 00:47 (eight years ago)

not even gonna try to fathom the mind of boogie

Clay, Wednesday, 4 July 2018 01:03 (eight years ago)

players are really out here scheming these days, often to their own detriment

sprout god (lag∞n), Wednesday, 4 July 2018 01:04 (eight years ago)

the best recent self own has to be nerlens noel turning down $70m only to instantly fall out of the mavericks rotation thp

sprout god (lag∞n), Wednesday, 4 July 2018 01:05 (eight years ago)

damn that is extremely uncool of boogie

k3vin k., Wednesday, 4 July 2018 01:10 (eight years ago)

who really knows but assuming that contract offer came during the season then boogie’s agent (or whoever) must’ve decided he could do better in free agency which... during the season ppl still seemed to be talking about the possibility of him getting a big contract so idk but clearly they gambled wrong

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 4 July 2018 02:02 (eight years ago)

pr big roll of the dice when you just shredded your achilles

Clay, Wednesday, 4 July 2018 02:03 (eight years ago)

if he was really offered 2/40 after the injury that seems like an absolute no-brainer to take. it isn't breaking news that there wasn't a lot of cash and there were a lot of centers this summer.

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 4 July 2018 02:17 (eight years ago)

yeah there’s not gonna be a single UFA who gets $20m this offseason on any contract longer than 1 year?

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 4 July 2018 02:34 (eight years ago)

if he comes back healthy it’s possible he gets 3/60 or something next offseason and it all kinda works out but it’s also possible he never makes more than 10-12m per year for the rest of his career

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 4 July 2018 02:37 (eight years ago)

― J0rdan S., Tuesday, July 3, 2018 10:34 PM (twenty-one minutes ago)

other than lebron and cp3

k3vin k., Wednesday, 4 July 2018 02:56 (eight years ago)

there's just an unbelievable number of 1-year contracts out there now. next summer is going to be a mess.

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 4 July 2018 03:00 (eight years ago)

cp3 was a fake UFA but yeah

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 4 July 2018 03:00 (eight years ago)

it’s crazy to think back to a few years ago when even the “smart” nba reporters were basically parroting the idea that there couldn’t be a bad contract

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 4 July 2018 03:02 (eight years ago)

wasn't the salary cap supposed to keep exploding up and then it .... didnt do that

Clay, Wednesday, 4 July 2018 03:04 (eight years ago)

there's a passage from a zach lowe podcast that's burned into my mind where he forcefully argued that all those portland contracts from '16 were good because they would be tradeable as the cap increased. i think about it every time i am looking at free agent stuff. i love zach but that was extremely wrong.

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 4 July 2018 03:13 (eight years ago)

and the funniest part is that the cycle is going to repeat itself next summer even without the cap spike because so many teams are on the same space/no space schedule. i've heard a few arguments for locking in multiyear deals this summer where it makes sense for the team and player but it doesn't seem like anyone is up for that.

the evan turner deal was the one where i felt like everything i knew about the world had turned out to be a lie and i was being gaslit into believing otherwise

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 4 July 2018 03:39 (eight years ago)

anytime you can sign meyers leonard and evan turner and allan crabbe to 8-figure salaries you have to do it

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 4 July 2018 03:43 (eight years ago)

many xps

kawhi is perfect for the clippers bc he can still be in la and kinda be lowkey bc lebrakers will suck up all the oxygen

21st savagery fox (m bison), Wednesday, 4 July 2018 03:45 (eight years ago)

i wonder if crabbe is going to opt into his $18.5m player option next summer

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 4 July 2018 03:46 (eight years ago)

he'll only be 27, could he take the 18.5 mil and try to get a nice contract in 2020? there's supposedly a meaningful cap increase then!

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 4 July 2018 03:53 (eight years ago)

A source close to #LeBron tells me that Bron had zero contact w/#Lakers head coach Luke Walton throughout the Lakers’ entire recruitment process. “LeBron never met Luke at all,” source says — and they still have not met. Walton will be James’ seventh full-time NBA head coach.

still wild to me they were the same draft class
