Consulted is a pretty broad term. It doesn't imply James thought up the deals or the numbers, or was given a lengthy analysis of either how the numbers played out or how these pieces might fit together as opposed to other players who might be signed. It could be as simple as texting "looks like we can get rondo for 1/9. whattaya think?"
