simmons is not playable at point guard vs a prepared good playoff team, did anyone watch the celtics series, simmons is also useless without the ball in his hands, in conclusion simmons has major problems everyone shd put away their future mvp predictions at this point

imo the best plan is rob to turn him into a point center but at this point he has zero post moves and can only finish with one hand which is tough

kawhi is a very methodical player wonder what hell look like when he leaves the most methodical team in the league, my guess hell take a step down from his mvp candidate play to more of a paul george esque very good two way allstar level

also like who knows where his head is at, feel like theres pretty big downside risk in making a big trade for him, especially if the team that does it is dysfunctional

2. the celtics are adding kyrie and hayward
3. the sixers are adding kawhi and losing prob redick and saric

how does this not shift the competitive balance even further in the celtics favor

for real. kawhi, assuming healthy, is better than any one player on the celtics. celtics definitely deeper in this hypothetical though, but that matters less in the playoffs.

arguing about the future usually requires someone to invoke hovercraft and personal jet packs, or their nba equivalent

they might not, but it's not crazy. kawhi is an MVP-level player, and simmons and embiid are young enough and good enough that imagining them being at that level in a year or two isn't inconceivable

conceding the point overall, yung celtics are better than yung sixers right now. just feel like we cant overlook the role of the celts vets esp horford in leading that team. and also adding kawhi to the sixers would significantly alter the equation.

I do think as things stand now the celtics are the huge fav to make the finals, just throwing out possibilities. I think it’s silly to suggest that the possibility embiid and simmons become unstoppable forces is not in play, so hard to predict young dudes

The WNBA is supposed to fill the gap. Except it doesn't. Put it on free network TV on weekends and it could get a bit more traction. Instead we get baseball and golf with a pinch of tennis thrown in.

embiid is great but I really worry about him going forward, he has such a big frame, feel like weight and injury will be big problems
