Guys it’s maybe not his fault but semi ojeley was really bad in that game, lebron just tore him to shreds on both ends and it tipped what could have been a little cs run right back into the cavs hands

I mean I dunno cs basically have six guys to work with plus baynes so they have to get a few wing minutes somewhere but ooof

Anyway I feel fine about this since cs young dudes were playing hard into the last minutes anyway so I doubt they are shook by this or anything. I might have predicted a six game series but this is a lock to go seven

I don’t know what was up with nance the first two games but just having someone active while lebron has elimination mode engaged seemed to rev everyone up

he's really had a crazy run this playoffs. i dont see how the celtics beat him 2 out of 3.

it's hard to imagine any other elite nba player carrying that cavs team to an nba finals.

they already beat him 2 out of 2

he was 'feeling it out'

they call me melo gelo (Spottie), Tuesday, 22 May 2018 17:26 (eight years ago)

home court might matter a lot

k3vin k., Tuesday, 22 May 2018 18:20 (eight years ago)

for the sake of my wallet I hope it does

k3vin k., Tuesday, 22 May 2018 18:20 (eight years ago)

lol

sprout god (lag∞n), Tuesday, 22 May 2018 18:50 (eight years ago)

the celtics have won every home game in the playoffs and lost every road game but one

sprout god (lag∞n), Tuesday, 22 May 2018 18:51 (eight years ago)

the math in this series was pretty much always that lebron needed to win just 1 game in boston... games 1 & 2 were extremely concerning for the cavs but the math is still the math

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 22 May 2018 19:14 (eight years ago)

speaking of math

Gordon and Paul need Harden to take pressure off them. Houston staggered Harden’s and Paul’s minutes all season to give both time to run the offense, but that hasn’t worked as well in the playoffs. The Rockets have a net rating of minus-11.0 in the 169 minutes that Harden has sat in the postseason, and a jaw-dropping net rating of minus-30.4 in the 43 minutes he’s sat against the Warriors.

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 22 May 2018 19:14 (eight years ago)

some interesting discussion on the new simmons/lowe podcast about the rockets prob having a wink/wink extension agreement w/ cp going back to last summer but how perilous that looks now given that his max would be paying him like $35 million when he's 37

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 22 May 2018 19:16 (eight years ago)

He would be worth it. CP is incredible.

tsrobodo, Tuesday, 22 May 2018 21:04 (eight years ago)

he would be worth it on a 2 year deal. they will probably settle for a 3 year.

they call me melo gelo (Spottie), Tuesday, 22 May 2018 21:07 (eight years ago)

he needs to play a lot more incredible for the rest of the series

Joe Gargan (dandydonweiner), Tuesday, 22 May 2018 21:08 (eight years ago)

I love cp3 but I don't know how he's going to look in 3 years

k3vin k., Tuesday, 22 May 2018 21:17 (eight years ago)

pretty much no basketball player would be worth $35 million when they're 37, least of all chris paul

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 22 May 2018 21:18 (eight years ago)

I mean going back there are handful of players you could easily argue were worth the equivalent max at 37.

Stockton and Nash would be among those players, I can see Paul's game ageing as gracefully as theirs did.

In any case can't imagine how Chris Paul is the least of all in this discussion.

tsrobodo, Tuesday, 22 May 2018 22:45 (eight years ago)

I think cp3 will age well...the fact that he's already played at an elite level at this age is a good sign. but 37 is 5 years away...I would not want to invest in a max contract that far out. and I think morey is smart enough not to too

k3vin k., Tuesday, 22 May 2018 23:11 (eight years ago)

the plot thickens

Andre Iguodala will not play in Game 4 tonight due to knee injury

they call me melo gelo (Spottie), Tuesday, 22 May 2018 23:21 (eight years ago)

cp's had injury trouble that stockton and nash (at least until later in his career) never really went through. stockton's among the most iron of iron men in nba history, it's nuts. but that stuff gets worse as you age and i'm having a tough time seeing cp playing 60+ games four or five years from now

I'm not a big one for basketball but I don't understand Golden State. It all seems joyless, ruthless, efficient. German.

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 23 May 2018 01:01 (eight years ago)

looks like the rockets are running back the "miss everything in the paint" strategy

k3vin k., Wednesday, 23 May 2018 01:06 (eight years ago)

Rockets are looking shook

capela has been atrocious on offense

k3vin k., Wednesday, 23 May 2018 01:28 (eight years ago)

i just don’t get how the rockets have zero ideas for how to score beyond “going one on one vs a predetermined defender.” it’s game 4!
