i'm skeptical kawhi's injury is really that serious. i think he knew the spurs couldn't win the title this year and didn't wanna risk making his injury worse.

that many turnovers and that many missed 3s in the 1st is huge

i bet he’s essentially healthy. you can have a non-career threatening injury that you don’t want to risk aggravating.

J0rdan S., Thursday, 17 May 2018 01:35 (six years ago) link

hill was a really good defender i believe that, tho his lack of attacking on the offensive end was def a liability, u need yr point guard in the paint getting rowdy

good rule of thumb ime is when a guys ceiling is borderline allstar in the eastern conference and much of his value comes from subjective evaluation of defense...we should be careful feeling confident that he was that good

hard to overstate how dreadful LRMAM was in the first quarter

k3vin k., Thursday, 17 May 2018 01:52 (six years ago) link

most nba players are crazy about minutes and just want to play all the time, even if holding yourself out makes sense from a laymans perspective its still an unusual choice

micah, Thursday, 17 May 2018 01:52 (six years ago) link

better ball movement tonite

ciderpress, Thursday, 17 May 2018 01:53 (six years ago) link

cp3 has been really good. always making the right pass, playing great D

k3vin k., Thursday, 17 May 2018 01:53 (six years ago) link

running more too which facilitates more movement in general

J0rdan S., Thursday, 17 May 2018 01:54 (six years ago) link

if yr 'essentially healthy' you don't have an injury. regardless i think kawhi and his camp's conduct throw up major red flags for any organization that's interested - if kawhi's camp would do that to the spurs then imagine what he might do to you. it's def a gamble imo

draymond's mom otm

I could have stay in the room and watched @EMPIRE & @STAR!

this is def what bothers me. spurs are the pinnacle of organizational discipline and look what kawhi has done to them

Clay, Thursday, 17 May 2018 02:07 (six years ago) link

well i wouldn't trade for him unless he agreed to sign longterm and if he signs longterm i'm not sure you'd have a ton to worry about

J0rdan S., Thursday, 17 May 2018 02:14 (six years ago) link

i think KD might be the best player in the NBA

J0rdan S., Thursday, 17 May 2018 02:24 (six years ago) link

Regrettably, no.

Joe Gargan (dandydonweiner), Thursday, 17 May 2018 02:25 (six years ago) link

Did you already forget what LeBron did last night?

Joe Gargan (dandydonweiner), Thursday, 17 May 2018 02:25 (six years ago) link

lebron lost last night iirc

Durant not looking like he will win tonite.

But 3Q not over yet.

Joe Gargan (dandydonweiner), Thursday, 17 May 2018 02:29 (six years ago) link

lebron’s peak is prob still better than KD but KD’s night to night consistency might push him ahead for me. he doesn’t take plays off or ever make you wonder like... how much he’s trying.

J0rdan S., Thursday, 17 May 2018 02:29 (six years ago) link

agree with you there. Bron looks weary but KD never shuts off.

Joe Gargan (dandydonweiner), Thursday, 17 May 2018 02:31 (six years ago) link

durant doesn't 'take plays off' any less than lebron he just has better teammates so you notice it less

ciderpress, Thursday, 17 May 2018 02:32 (six years ago) link

also KD was the clear better player in the finals last year

J0rdan S., Thursday, 17 May 2018 02:35 (six years ago) link

LOL cp’s brother taunting KD

this feels like one of those playoffs games where everything goes right for the home team and bad for the away team

J0rdan S., Thursday, 17 May 2018 03:01 (six years ago) link

rockets didnt seem to be getting all the home team calls but otherwise firing on all cylinders

sprout god (lag∞n), Thursday, 17 May 2018 03:16 (six years ago) link

wld be cool to see kd on a team where he doesnt have that much offensive help and just needs to hoist like hell every night, he cld put up some big big points

sprout god (lag∞n), Thursday, 17 May 2018 03:17 (six years ago) link

Knew that game was gonna happen. Warriors lose big when they lose in the playoffs and it was essentially an elimination game for the rox. What’s the deal w CP leg? Sore Achilles?

gritty tigger reboot (agent hibachi), Thursday, 17 May 2018 18:50 (six years ago) link

KD has one assist through the first two games after averaging a career high this season and 5+ in the playoffs up to now as well. nothing he's doing wrong really but they've gotta start whipping the ball around like usual, he'll still get his. Klay was arguably the best player in game 1 and arguably the worst in game 2.

they call me melo gelo (Spottie), Thursday, 17 May 2018 20:18 (six years ago) link

yeah pj tucker and tervor ariza both scoring 20 points while klay scores 8 points is a great recipe for the warriors to lose
