Nance has looked so shook and I’m generally a believer that he can at least be a good energy rotation big

I would be absolutely terrified that I’d be swapping a possible superstar in tatum for a broken former superstar in kawhi
Not to mention the weird vibes and expense

same

kawhi being so weird w/Pop is a red flag, especially considering Pop's LMA-whispering skills last offseason.

celtics also went right at him and he looked dumb

I’ve noticed brad is particularly savage in getting his guys after dudes who have just checked in and/or are shook in any way

i'm skeptical kawhi's injury is really that serious. i think he knew the spurs couldn't win the title this year and didn't wanna risk making his injury worse.
― J0rdan S., Wednesday, 16 May 2018 22:50 (six years ago) link
an injury that persists all season and cld get worse is prob pretty bad
― sprout god (lag∞n), Wednesday, 16 May 2018 22:52 (six years ago) link
tatum's great but the celtics have a shit ton of money invested in three guys in their late 20s/early 30s. kyrie-jaylen-hayward-kawhi-horford would be monster favorites in the east and could win the title.
― J0rdan S., Wednesday, 16 May 2018 22:53 (six years ago) link
they wld have to trade one of hayward-horford-kyrie to match salaries unfortunately
― sprout god (lag∞n), Wednesday, 16 May 2018 22:54 (six years ago) link
tho if were still operating on the kawhi for tatum straight up premise yeah im sure the celtics wld be very open to talking about it but i dont think theyd do it without getting to the bottom of the ongoing kawhi drama first
― sprout god (lag∞n), Wednesday, 16 May 2018 22:58 (six years ago) link
if they had to make the decision based on what the public knows now they prob wldnt do it

hill was a really good defender i believe that, tho his lack of attacking on the offensive end was def a liability, u need yr point guard in the paint getting rowdy

good rule of thumb ime is when a guys ceiling is borderline allstar in the eastern conference and much of his value comes from subjective evaluation of defense...we should be careful feeling confident that he was that good

most nba players are crazy about minutes and just want to play all the time, even if holding yourself out makes sense from a laymans perspective its still an unusual choice

i bet he’s essentially healthy. you can have a non-career threatening injury that you don’t want to risk aggravating.― J0rdan S., Wednesday, May 16, 2018 9:35 PM (twenty-seven minutes ago) Bookmark
if yr 'essentially healthy' you don't have an injury. regardless i think kawhi and his camp's conduct throw up major red flags for any organization that's interested - if kawhi's camp would do that to the spurs then imagine what he might do to you. it's def a gamble imo

lebron’s peak is prob still better than KD but KD’s night to night consistency might push him ahead for me. he doesn’t take plays off or ever make you wonder like... how much he’s trying.
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 17 May 2018 02:29 (six years ago) link
agree with you there. Bron looks weary but KD never shuts off.

durant doesn't 'take plays off' any less than lebron he just has better teammates so you notice it less
