they call me melo gelo (Spottie), Saturday, 5 May 2018 21:45 (eight years ago)

sure some front offices are better than others, but on draft night we are still talking about a shift in percentages rather than one guy knowing what he's talking about and the other guy having no clue.

lol is that a fact

lag∞n, Saturday, 5 May 2018 21:46 (eight years ago)

and this doesn't even begin to consider the advantage teams like the celtics with great organizational direction and coaching/training staffs have. nor does it take into account the vagaries of circumstance, namely that if the Cs prize free agent didn't break his leg 5 minutes into the season, and if fultz didn't fall in with that weirdo and forget how to shoot, the narrative could look a lot different

the officiating itg has not been too great

lag∞n, Saturday, 5 May 2018 21:50 (eight years ago)

If terry Rozier makes jumpshots he’s a really good player

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 5 May 2018 21:52 (eight years ago)

so proud of terry

lag∞n, Saturday, 5 May 2018 21:56 (eight years ago)

celtics deciding to not cover shooters for no reason for a bit

lag∞n, Saturday, 5 May 2018 21:58 (eight years ago)

Is Marcus smart a smarter basketball player than Javale

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 5 May 2018 22:06 (eight years ago)

marcus is... odd, but yes smarter than javale

lag∞n, Saturday, 5 May 2018 22:15 (eight years ago)

man joel takes a ton of bad/unnecessarily difficult shots

lag∞n, Saturday, 5 May 2018 22:35 (eight years ago)

Part of Smarts value is in making the right disruptive play at exactly the right moment. Have to imagine that requires a degree of smarts or instinct and Javale hasn't really shown anything like that kind of smarts... Smart.

tsrobodo, Saturday, 5 May 2018 22:36 (eight years ago)

Marcus Smart does things that are just indefensibly crazy tho. As often as Javale does I think

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 5 May 2018 22:41 (eight years ago)

Idle thought I dunno what will happen with Fultz but I honestly think if i were a gm and someone holding the #1 pick is willing to trade it and move back I immediately assume I missed something important and hang up and rethink

The only time trading back from 1 seems to work are those massive football trades where you parlay it into an entir defensive line r whatever

gritty tigger reboot (agent hibachi), Saturday, 5 May 2018 22:41 (eight years ago)

yeah especially when its the famous danny ainge, tho tbf philly did give up a lot

lag∞n, Saturday, 5 May 2018 22:44 (eight years ago)

With Smart you can most of the time feel out a method to the madness. Javale's brain farts feel less intentional.

Still feels way to early for retrospectives on Fultz

tsrobodo, Saturday, 5 May 2018 22:46 (eight years ago)

Bellini takes some terrible shots.

Jeff, Saturday, 5 May 2018 22:53 (eight years ago)

this is not a playoff quality basketball game

lag∞n, Saturday, 5 May 2018 22:54 (eight years ago)

ILH, the one place where every other game is 'not good basketball'.

lag∞n, Saturday, 5 May 2018 23:07 (eight years ago)

I remember some guy on twitter tried to convince me Jaylen Brown was bad on defense. I think he’s wrong

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 5 May 2018 23:09 (eight years ago)

why take a bunch of dumb picks when you can draft *checks notes* mario hezonja

ciderpress, Saturday, 5 May 2018 23:09 (eight years ago)

clearly though it was just a feint by danny to take attention off of his true target, terry rozier

ciderpress, Saturday, 5 May 2018 23:11 (eight years ago)

ciderpress, Saturday, 5 May 2018 23:31 (eight years ago)

really that game shdve been decided by the very bad philly pass play

lag∞n, Saturday, 5 May 2018 23:33 (eight years ago)

ahaha the confetti is still falling

lag∞n, Saturday, 5 May 2018 23:33 (eight years ago)

confetti is a good way to get your players some rest

21st savagery fox (m bison), Saturday, 5 May 2018 23:35 (eight years ago)

when lebron is trying to play 48 minutes he should just take out a pocketful of confetti and surreptitiously throw some in the air after a dead ball so he can catch his breath.

21st savagery fox (m bison), Saturday, 5 May 2018 23:36 (eight years ago)

smh rozier threw himself off balance grabbing belinelis jersey and fell down

lag∞n, Saturday, 5 May 2018 23:36 (eight years ago)

"foul on demar derozan. lebron to the line..."
