Pot-farming Hawaiian Don Nelson is a very graceful ending.

this fuckin' guy

I built this place next to me. It’s not a wedding chapel, but they have weddings there. My daughter Lee runs that. She’s an interesting story. I had that daughter out of wedlock. I knew nothing about her for 29 years.

This whole interview

this kawhi piece is pretty thorough given the hush nature of it all
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/23366667/inside-tension-kawhi-leonard-spurs

they call me melo gelo (Spottie), Tuesday, 1 May 2018 17:43 (eight years ago)

The Kawhi article went on at great length, but in the end it didn't seem very enlightening. There were lots of facts, but how they connected or what they meant was totally unclear. It raised a lot of questions that seemed entirely based in rumors and innuendoes, then talked around them without resolving anything. Which means it summed up the Kahwi situation perfectly, by being completely opaque and unsatisfactory.

you youve gotta draw your own conclusions on this whole thing for now. but there is at least some context around everything.

The Phoenix Suns are hiring Utah Jazz assistant Igor Kokoskov as their new head coach, league sources tell ESPN. Kokoskov, a native of Serbia, will be the first European born head coach in the NBA.

lag∞n, Wednesday, 2 May 2018 23:49 (eight years ago)

steve kerr was born in lebanon but i guess that doesn't count

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Wednesday, 2 May 2018 23:51 (eight years ago)

cool?

they call me melo gelo (Spottie), Wednesday, 2 May 2018 23:52 (eight years ago)

He's coached Doncic before, but that dude probably won't be around at pick 4

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Wednesday, 2 May 2018 23:53 (eight years ago)

never know this draft is pretty stacked at the top

lag∞n, Wednesday, 2 May 2018 23:57 (eight years ago)

huh i thought blatt was israeli but i guess he just spent his whole adult life there and was born in massachusettes

Clay, Wednesday, 2 May 2018 23:58 (eight years ago)

yeah weird.

cool hire by the suns in that it's not a boring pick ala jax/kidd/delnegro/etc. Bud to Bucks rumors are heating up.

they call me melo gelo (Spottie), Thursday, 3 May 2018 00:01 (eight years ago)

seems like a match to me, bud prob wants personnel control tho

lag∞n, Thursday, 3 May 2018 00:01 (eight years ago)

might not be a bad move? they need roster help. but those things usually end poorly as we've seen.

they call me melo gelo (Spottie), Thursday, 3 May 2018 00:02 (eight years ago)

yeah hed be a great hire as a coach but imho never give a coach gming duties, like he shd have input but not final say

lag∞n, Thursday, 3 May 2018 00:04 (eight years ago)

suns should have hired brad stevens 2

nba media dudes rave about kokoskov but they seemed to be pretty brainwashed by the utah org (not saying anything bad about the utah org but it's true)

call all destroyer, Thursday, 3 May 2018 00:17 (eight years ago)

calling some up and coming coach a hotshot is a no risk proposition

well good

lag∞n, Thursday, 3 May 2018 21:12 (eight years ago)

Good luck Fizdale!

Knicks’ head coaches since 2005-06:

Larry Brown: 23-59 (.280)
Isiah Thomas: 56-108 (.341)
Mike D’Antoni: 121-167 (.420)
Mike Woodson: 109-79 (.580)
Derek Fisher: 40-96 (.294)
Kurt Rambis: 9-19 (.321)
Jeff Hornacek: 60-104 (.366)

Now, David Fizdale takes over

— Shane Young (@YoungNBA) May 3, 2018

they call me melo gelo (Spottie), Thursday, 3 May 2018 21:58 (eight years ago)

feels like hornacek just started, i wouldnt have guessed he made it 2 full seasons

ciderpress, Thursday, 3 May 2018 22:15 (eight years ago)

hornacek going from the suns to the knicks was some kind of bad karma. poor guy.

they call me melo gelo (Spottie), Thursday, 3 May 2018 22:19 (eight years ago)

its not like he had to

ciderpress, Thursday, 3 May 2018 22:35 (eight years ago)

fizdale must have really thought he wasn’t getting another job

J0rdan S., Friday, 4 May 2018 00:57 (eight years ago)

the suns offered him a 4 year, turned it down for the knicks

they call me melo gelo (Spottie), Friday, 4 May 2018 01:04 (eight years ago)

suns job might be worse than the knicks actually

J0rdan S., Friday, 4 May 2018 01:18 (eight years ago)

knicks definitely pay more than suns

call all destroyer, Friday, 4 May 2018 01:21 (eight years ago)

suns job is def worse

i remember hearing about that a few years back but it brought tears reading the details. Just brutal. Amazing he's been able to get his life together and be such a role model.

they call me melo gelo (Spottie), Saturday, 5 May 2018 20:16 (eight years ago)

Yeah really happy things worked out for him and really impressed by how the players tribune is helping to shed light on mental health issues.

tsrobodo, Saturday, 5 May 2018 22:42 (eight years ago)
