particularly w the g league up and running theres really no need to have college in the loop anymore, also it wld be good if the nbas involvement with high school players got to the level where it prevented guys from shooting from the wrong side of their heads

lag∞n, Monday, 5 March 2018 17:42 (eight years ago)

tho prob from a marketing standpoint still nothing will ever be better than a two and done rule

lag∞n, Monday, 5 March 2018 17:44 (eight years ago)

they will have to up the salaries pretty significantly cos you know, you could get 100k + from Arizona... vs only 26k current max g league salary.

college hoops should be for dudes that stick around for 4 years and that (at the most) have a minor shot to play overseas.

the best high school players shd just get drafted like in the garnett days but you can still give them run in the g league if theyre not ready for grown man minutes, and then yeah raise the G league salaries for non nba players/two way contract guys to compete w foreign leagues/illicit ncaa money, and regardless of competition they shd just be paying these guys a living wage

lag∞n, Monday, 5 March 2018 17:55 (eight years ago)

maybe tack on a year to the rookie contracts of straight out of high school players to allow teams more time to develop them idk

lag∞n, Monday, 5 March 2018 17:56 (eight years ago)

yeah think you would have to

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Tuesday, 6 March 2018 00:49 (eight years ago)

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 6 March 2018 05:27 (eight years ago)

uconn had 55 rebounds

mookieproof, Tuesday, 6 March 2018 08:15 (eight years ago)

Cleveland State (12-22) scores 61 point in the second half to beat the #1 seed in their conference tourney then beat Oakland in semi finals 44-43. Play for the championship tonight vs Wright State. A win would put them in the NCAA tournament I think?

self heating (brownie), Tuesday, 6 March 2018 13:46 (eight years ago)

prob into a play-in game but yea auto bid, right?

johnny crunch, Tuesday, 6 March 2018 14:35 (eight years ago)

yes! Pretty sure Wright State is going to kill them though.

btw it is absurd that the big ten and ACC had their tournaments in NYC this year (and even more absurd that the big ten went a week early because the big east is having its proper tourney at MSG now)

yay let's invite our fans to spend most of a week in a really expensive city that famously doesn't care about college sports

mookieproof, Thursday, 8 March 2018 01:22 (eight years ago)

its the mecca baby

lag∞n, Thursday, 8 March 2018 01:24 (eight years ago)

i was thinking the other day about how the whole north east doesnt care about college sports, weird

lag∞n, Thursday, 8 March 2018 01:24 (eight years ago)

i grew up in the town where bc is and i knew one person who expressed interest in their sports teams one time

lag∞n, Thursday, 8 March 2018 01:25 (eight years ago)

oddly the only college sports thing boston cares about is "the beanpot"

lag∞n, Thursday, 8 March 2018 01:30 (eight years ago)

they cared enough at bc to shave points

the poster's anxiety at the suggested ban (Sufjan Grafton), Thursday, 8 March 2018 01:34 (eight years ago)

gotta shave some points off now and then keep the score crisp

lag∞n, Thursday, 8 March 2018 01:36 (eight years ago)

wouldn't want a birds nest of points situation

the poster's anxiety at the suggested ban (Sufjan Grafton), Thursday, 8 March 2018 01:37 (eight years ago)

there used to be a certain attachment to syracuse hoops in NYC, but rather less when they're finishing 11th in a league dominated by teams hundreds of miles away

lol at the big ten thinking adding rutgers would make NYC care
