Tbf this is kinda my perception of Portland in general and also a v evocative phrase, good work

I need to visit Portland. Been high on my list for years now.

my wife and i went for out 10th ann. was really fun and we basically just did downtown area stuff for a few days + one day driving to all the gorges. would recommend.

I been there a couple times in the last few years, I like it, chill place with great food and crazy nature super nearby, weather is kinda a bummer for 2/3rd of the year but whatever i lived in vermont lol

All of my trips revolve around food and nature! And breweries. I'd go in summer so it'd be a nice reprieve from the AZ heat. Hmm but then I couldn't check out a Blazers game...

i love murky weather. we went in Feb and dont think we saw the sun for 5 days! loved it. i'd go back just to eat the catsup from little big burger tbf

ha yeah when you live in az you def acquire a taste for overcast days, when i first moved to co i thought ppl were crazy for being into that weather but now i get it

where i grew up on the central coast in ca we had fog every day until about 12-1pm and then sunny. the perfect mix.

yep same here. "how can you not like a sunny da...I mean sunny month" **3 years pass in AZ** "ohhhh ok I get it now"

iirc the very end of the season and the good weather generally overlap, tho when i was there last year me n clay went to the last game of the season and the weather was still in winter mode, everyone was saying it was super late for that and it was driving them crazy, idk if theyre to be believed, of course that wldnt cover the az heat relief tho

this is very nice

portland weather sounds pretty great tbh. in cle we have the same damp overcast permacloud most of the year but instead of temperate rainforest uh it's like subzero in the winter *sobs*

wife & i talk about moving to the southwest, prob new mexico, not for a while but maybe in 5 years or so. i like sunshine.

may-oct here is pretty wonderful but i am tiring of hating life for the rest of the year

yeah vermont has almost as many overcast days as portland except its the coldest place on earth

same thing with Chicago. When I go back there during winter I can feel the difference in the mental state of the population compared to AZ. It's stark.
do it, marcos! I love sunshine and moving to the southwest was best decision I've ever made. As soon as I'm done with work today, I'll put on shorts and tshirt and play ball OUTSIDE, in FEBRUARY.

yah colorado has a great climate. all four seasons are distinct but not overly extreme.

I'm already itching to get back to CO. Telluride in summer is prob prettiest spot I've ever been.
