ive been to a number of nets games and their fans are the saddest its all ppl who make the conscious decision to "get into the nets" when they moved to bk but then theyve just always sucked lol

some bizarre pantomime, lots of ppl showing up late and leaving early

as soon as they moved to bk and released those boring-ass generic unis ppl should have known that getting into the nets was a terrible mistake.

the biggest mistake the nets made was not changing their name to break the karmic link to new jersey

trying to think of a historical precedent of a player's family/friend/lover doing this level of trolling in the nba and failing
hoping this is not gonna be a part of the future of the game but not feeling too confident; there's gotta be a lot of upper-tier high school guys' dads thinking about how to make a quick buck and be on sportscenter

I think this is a very specific situation, I mean it would have to be a special top level player with this exact kind of sport dad. If ("if") Lonzo was a second round talent he'd have been cut imo. These types of dads have little power in pretty much every situation.

yeah having the right kind of loudmouthness to keep the media interested and being willing to damage yr own childs career just to get on is a rare mix, most sports dads who get to this level know enough to not publicly start shit with the team, like maybe what u get a reality show out of it, lamar cldnt even get one of those that wasnt some home made facebook shit, he already cost lozno 8 figures with his shoe deal bs, some true kill the goose shit

gotta think these attacks on the lakers are just a last ditch attempt to keep the media interested too
