My ankles are pretty much in pain to varying degrees at all times. I can't do some moves on the court cause the left one is so weak. Having a body sucks tbh.

sub optimal def

lag∞n, Tuesday, 5 December 2017 18:31 (eight years ago)

I'll take ankle pain or any ligament/tendon/muscle pain over nerve pain tho

true

during last nights game it was mentioned that the bucks D has been top 5 since acquiring bledsoe fwiw, not sure where thats at after allowing the celtics to shoot 55% but anyway seems like theyve seen some improvement at least, their D still doesnt look great tho imho

lag∞n, Tuesday, 5 December 2017 19:52 (eight years ago)

bledsoe got a little roasted by kyrie last night not that there's much shame in that.

thunder making this a game

k3vin k., Wednesday, 6 December 2017 03:01 (eight years ago)

idk where that "Top 5" metric comes from, it can't be in points scored nor points/possession

frogbs, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 03:07 (eight years ago)

adductor strain--no idea how long those usually take

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 03:34 (eight years ago)

dealing with one myself so i can speak to that! doc said anywhere from a month to six months... of course i imagine if you are a professional athlete getting paid millions of dollars with a full-time trainer staff, you might be on the shorter end of that timeline.

Chocolate-covered gummy bears? Not ruling those lil' guys out. (ulysses), Wednesday, 6 December 2017 04:21 (eight years ago)

uh wow Bradley Beal went to workkkkkk

i like watching these nba tv games where they just announce the game from the studio, it's very realxed

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 6 December 2017 05:36 (eight years ago)

getting blown out at home by the wizards w/o wall is more evidence that portland isn't nearly as good as their record

the process believer (Clay), Wednesday, 6 December 2017 05:38 (eight years ago)

i can't really make sense of the blazers this year, i think it's just someone rolling dice behind a curtain

ciderpress, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 15:17 (eight years ago)

i think theyre a good team adding nurkic really helped them a ton and theyve also been playing over their heads a bit

lag∞n, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 16:00 (eight years ago)

they defend the three really well

lag∞n, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 16:00 (eight years ago)

theyve got a bunch of scorers and so forth

lag∞n, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 16:01 (eight years ago)

*or they were playing over their heads a bit til recently now they overall for the whole season are prob playing about at their heads

lag∞n, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 16:08 (eight years ago)

They’re good in defense which seems kinda weird. Lillards been only ok this year idk i feel like they can sustain this. They just got Aminu back and he is one of those Swiss Army knives that kinda held things go for them.

competitive shooter - - - - (Spottie), Wednesday, 6 December 2017 16:15 (eight years ago)

a team that prioritizes defending the three point line needs a big guy like nurkic hanging around the basket to cleanup all those attacked closeouts is how i break it down

lag∞n, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 16:17 (eight years ago)

by allowing the system to work it encourages buyin by previously indifferent defenders like portlands backcourt for instance

lag∞n, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 16:20 (eight years ago)

like mccollum may be at a physical disadvantage defending the 2 but theres no reason dame cant be a good defender

lag∞n, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 16:21 (eight years ago)

ive heard rumors of improved defense by CJ this year but havent looked into it.

lowe on dubs life w out curry and the kd vs curry debate
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/21682752/zach-lowe-kevin-durant-golden-state-warriors-stephen-curry-nba

competitive shooter - - - - (Spottie), Wednesday, 6 December 2017 17:26 (eight years ago)

Here's the weird truth: even in this halcyon era, the Warriors never quite figured out offense with Curry on the bench. They've scored at around a league-average rate, or worse, with Curry resting in each of the past four seasons, per NBA.com. They have never really locked on a non-Curry identity. They move around without purpose, in cluttered space. Green shoots and distributes more, and can get a little wild. Thompson shoots more, and a little less accurately.

Golden State scored 115.4 points per 100 possessions when Curry played without Durant last season, and 108.7 with Durant as the lone alpha. The splits this season: 116 points per 100 possessions with just Curry, 107 with just Durant.

They remain historic with Curry as soloist. They are normal-good with Durant alone -- so far.

competitive shooter - - - - (Spottie), Wednesday, 6 December 2017 17:37 (eight years ago)

kinda makes u wonder abt drays legendary point forward abilities :P

lag∞n, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 17:49 (eight years ago)

crazy how dray's lineup numbers are consistently on in the top 10 of the league then!

k3vin k., Wednesday, 6 December 2017 17:49 (eight years ago)

weird there seems to be something abt lineup numbers in general i cant quite put my finger on

lag∞n, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 17:50 (eight years ago)

even the ones that adjust for teammates ;)

that said lineup data over less than a third of the season is probably quite meaningless

k3vin k., Wednesday, 6 December 2017 17:52 (eight years ago)

the famously good adjustments that definitely understand basketball

lag∞n, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 17:53 (eight years ago)

yessss

The team currently has four guys in the top 10 for most minutes played this season,

lol who coulda predicted.

KATs numbers/usage are way down, seems like he should be able to sustain even with the addition of Jimmy B. #FreeKAT #FireThibs

Booker has a left groin strain and the projected recover time is 2-3 weeks according to Suns GM Ryan McDonough.

Was gonna try to go to wiz phx tomorrow but f that no wall or book

competitive shooter - - - - (Spottie), Wednesday, 6 December 2017 22:16 (eight years ago)

that lowe kd vs curry article was interesting in its detials but the premise is kinda tautological and not actually that compelling, like hes asking whos most valuable but just as easily couldve asked who is the offense built around and the answer to both is the offense is built around steph, of course one could also build an offense around durant, and maybe the warriors should or at least build it around steph and kd since they have them both

lag∞n, Thursday, 7 December 2017 00:34 (eight years ago)

its like when ppl trip over the value part of mvp theyre mistaking the context for the conclusion

lag∞n, Thursday, 7 December 2017 00:35 (eight years ago)

i do think lowe prob knows that, it was just a half assed attempt to have a flashy headline

lag∞n, Thursday, 7 December 2017 00:37 (eight years ago)

yeah solid points

k3vin k., Thursday, 7 December 2017 01:47 (eight years ago)

i'm sure he didn't write the headline but i find lowe's articles have a way of circling around points rather than just getting to them.

the stuff about steph driving more and taking more midrange stuff was interesting though. i wonder how much the injured finger is causing him to avoid lower-percentage 3s.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 7 December 2017 02:43 (eight years ago)

Teams are just chasing him off more is how I’ve seen it.
