Ntilikina looks like an absolute pest on defense. not sure what they scouting report was on him but watched them a couple games and he's picking up dudes and 3/4 court

he was advertised as a really good defensive prospect... looks like he could be one of the better perimeter defenders in the league tho. & his jumper looks pretty ok too.

kyrie has gotta be feeling pretty vindicated right now

kyrie sabotaging the cavs and rolling into a win streak with the celtics is pretty funny

btw i have watched every celtics game this year and they dont even look that good but then at the end of the game they are ahead 8 to 15 points, the key to their play so far has i think been "defense" and strangely "rebounding"

gotta think the "load up on old vets" strategy has failed enough times (cavs, prokhorov's first foray with the nets) now that teams will stop trying it, but they will never stop trying it will they, hmm

i guess the 04 lakers almost succeeded until they didn't

lowe & windhorst were both blowing this off on lowe's latest podcast, saying that it doesn't really matter because the cavs aren't trying and aren't going to try until the playoffs. i sort of buy that but idk this team didn't solve any of its problems from last year... lebron is basically the only player on the team who is a plus on both sides of the court

and lebron is usually a negative on defense in a lot of regular season games simply bcuz he doesn't want to exert the energy

cavs can't turn it on in the playoffs unless they get there

they will make it, but they might be a 4 seed
