I had some issues toward the end of last season with reb0rn not working or being too slow to get a hd stream so I'm on the fence about re upping. it worked perfectly for 2 yrs before that though so idk
― ciderpress, Friday, 13 October 2017 16:55 (eight years ago)
might have just been their servers couldn't carry the playoffs load
― ciderpress, Friday, 13 October 2017 16:56 (eight years ago)
right now new registrations are closed so maybe theyre dealing with that, or theyre on the run from the law and on the verge of shutting down

http://thebiglead.com/2017/10/12/tom-haberstroh-leaving-espn-whats-next/maybe will be more interesting to ppl here than on the sports writing thread but this is kind of a big deal. iirc his tinder and dnp-rest stories were major click leaders among espn.com's coverage.― call all destroyer, Thursday, October 12, 2017 7:56 PM (yesterday) Bookmark Flag Post Permalink

Trading Stein, Strauss, Thorpe and Haberstroh for Barstool is like trading Steph, KD, Klay and Dray for Derrick Rose https://t.co/8hDpdAzrdk— jg 🍤 (@jacobjbg) October 13, 2017

Ingram looks good in a lot of ways but everything involving shooting looks broken
― Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 14 October 2017 02:47 (eight years ago)
i thought he was supposed to be an ok shooter coming out? do you think he's devolved or was it just never there?
― call all destroyer, Saturday, 14 October 2017 02:59 (eight years ago)
It must have been a mirage in college. He’s retooled his shooting form and it looks super awkward.
― Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 14 October 2017 03:11 (eight years ago)
Frank Mason has been really impressive. Didn’t think much of him in college at all
― Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 14 October 2017 04:28 (eight years ago)
There is some absolutely insane Donovan Mitchell hype in the twittersphere, idk about that

― Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 14 October 2017 06:15 (eight years ago)
In general this looks to be an amazingly deep rookie class. Seems like 20 teams have a rookie who has looked great

these one team one stat pieces have some good factoids http://www.nba.com/article/2017/10/04/one-team-one-stat-boston-celtics/?collection=writer/archive/john-schuhmann#/
Over the last five seasons, Al Horford ranks fourth in field goal percentage in the restricted area (minimum 1,000 attempts) at 72.5 percent and 11th in mid-range field goal percentage (minimum 1,000 attempts) at 45.6 percent. Other players in the top 15 in both: Kevin Durant (first and eighth), Serge Ibaka (ninth and seventh) and Kawhi Leonard (13th and 13th). Horford was the only player to shoot better than 50 percent on at least 50 3-point attempts in the '17 playoffs.

the reg season thread needs to be started and we need to get our predix in. someone think of something good.
true
one of my fav dumb nba things is how fans overrate their teams role players, i was searching for the cavs opening night starting five and lol

― lag∞n, Monday, 16 October 2017 17:22 (eight years ago)
love has said hes the starting center so i assume its gonna be
lovebroncrowderwaderose
tho that is brutal defensively, especially considering bron is now an official regular season non defender
thompsonlovebronwaderose
might make more sense
― lag∞n, Monday, 16 October 2017 17:26 (eight years ago)
then crowder can still get a bunch of minutes when either bron or love are on the bench
― lag∞n, Monday, 16 October 2017 17:27 (eight years ago)

wade is still ok defensively i think but he's def on the lebron never trying until the playoffs program
― J0rdan S., Monday, 16 October 2017 17:52 (eight years ago)
them young 'uns exist to be schooled by we who are older, wiser and more cynical
― A is for (Aimless), Monday, 16 October 2017 17:53 (eight years ago)
precisely.
xp wade looked like possibly the worst defensive player in the league last playoffs but then again he probably was just coasting collecting his check not givng af.

― Spottie, Monday, 16 October 2017 19:02 (eight years ago)
why would the spurs do this
get him on a cheaper per year deal thats more in line w his value, makes him tradable?
― lag∞n, Monday, 16 October 2017 19:04 (eight years ago)
he has a player option for $22m next year, maybe he declines it and leaves and the spurs get nothing in return, or maybe he takes it and leaves the year after/has very little trade value cause hes on the last year of his deal, if they cld get him for $15 a year/4 years thats maybe the best proposition for them, tho i have no idea if he has any interest for signing for that kind of money
― lag∞n, Monday, 16 October 2017 19:08 (eight years ago)
maybe theyre just talking and nothing will come of it
