i think it works as a t shirt design but dont think it translates well to a jersey. i like the font more than copperplate tho so i may buy one just for the hellofit

what is the significance of "the city" and "the town" wrt oakland, bay area, etc

also i hate the new cavs unis they are terrible, last year they were so much better

the city is what ppl in the bay call sf, the town is trying to shoehorn their current location into a riff on the old sf warrior jerseys

ppl do call oakland oaktown tho its not a ubiquitous as the city, no one calls it the town afaict

fwiw seeing them on court the new unis looked.... fine even the ads, the worst thing was that strange new like bibbed back it makes it look like theyre wearing practice uniforms when their backs are turned not sure what the whole idea is except its prob a profile nike is trying to sell across their whole line

to be clear the new jerseys are def worse but overall they dont read as that much different, except the back thing which is just weird

im def intrigued with the back details for the new unis but need to see them in action. it may just be a cheap way of making them look 'updated' or 'modern'

in sf i don't hear much about oakland in general.

ok ive never lived in the bay as an adult but i have spent a lot of time there since both sides of my family are there and have never heard the town where the city seems more common than saying san francisco
