Most people won't leave any money on the table.

The best leave $500,000 on the table.

I have left $1,668,172-$5,845,172+ on the table.

ciderpress, Saturday, 26 August 2017 04:16 (eight years ago)

Sources: After Isaiah Thomas underwent physical today, Cavs still evaluating injured hip and weighing options w/ completion of Irving deal.

Hella messy

Spottie, Saturday, 26 August 2017 04:31 (eight years ago)

this is gonna be a big setback for the celtics if we end up with an injured and angry IT

ciderpress, Saturday, 26 August 2017 04:36 (eight years ago)

did Danny try and swindle them or

Clay, Saturday, 26 August 2017 04:40 (eight years ago)

lag∞n, Saturday, 26 August 2017 18:02 (eight years ago)

bad situation but i think celtics have gotta give em the pix

ciderpress, Saturday, 26 August 2017 18:05 (eight years ago)

its lose-lose for celtics p much

ciderpress, Saturday, 26 August 2017 18:06 (eight years ago)

cleve in a tuff spot too tho, guess it depends on really how bad ITs injury is

lag∞n, Saturday, 26 August 2017 18:19 (eight years ago)

im sure the celtics will try to give them 2 2nd rnd picks, tho giving up one of their own wldnt be the end of the world, bottom 1st rounders r not that good

lag∞n, Saturday, 26 August 2017 18:20 (eight years ago)

i have concluded that both teams are screwed and hornets will win the eastern conference

ciderpress, Saturday, 26 August 2017 18:22 (eight years ago)

its sad but true

lag∞n, Saturday, 26 August 2017 18:24 (eight years ago)

noel took the mavs qualifying offer, unrestricted free agent next summer

lag∞n, Saturday, 26 August 2017 18:24 (eight years ago)

which, sry to editorialize here, seems very dumb

lag∞n, Saturday, 26 August 2017 18:25 (eight years ago)

Yah multi year deal at the 17 per they were offering was good.

Spottie, Sunday, 27 August 2017 01:26 (eight years ago)

evergreen posts

The Cavs will reportedly ask for Jason Tatum or Jaylen Brown to complete the Kyrie Irving trade. I say they should demand both!

Mr. Snrub, Monday, 28 August 2017 10:42 (eight years ago)

wow

k3vin k., Monday, 28 August 2017 11:39 (eight years ago)

lol

lag∞n, Monday, 28 August 2017 12:47 (eight years ago)

cavs shd ask for a second rnd pick

lag∞n, Monday, 28 August 2017 12:49 (eight years ago)

lol it never hurts to ask

call all destroyer, Monday, 28 August 2017 13:01 (eight years ago)

i would rather the celtics punt this season than trade either of those guys

ciderpress, Monday, 28 August 2017 13:38 (eight years ago)

theres no way theyre including them

lag∞n, Monday, 28 August 2017 13:44 (eight years ago)

cld see maybe one of the celtics own first round picks, but the cavs are in a tough spot here kyrie has said hes not showing up to training camp and no one has stepped up w an offer nearly as good as the celtics

lag∞n, Monday, 28 August 2017 13:49 (eight years ago)

both teams are in kind of a shitty spot but it seems the cavs have more leverage...

maybe danny can stonewall and get cleveland to accept the current deal, idk

k3vin k., Monday, 28 August 2017 14:54 (eight years ago)

the outcome that would lead to the most shit stirring drama would be the trade getting cancelled, ergo i am rooting for that outcome

, Monday, 28 August 2017 14:57 (eight years ago)

idk abt leverage for this deal but cleveland is looking very fucked if isaiah is seriously injured, kyrie is basically boycotting until hes traded and they badly need to field a competitive team in order to have a shot at retaining bron, celtics on the other hand still have a bunch of draft picks to keep them warm

lag∞n, Monday, 28 August 2017 15:03 (eight years ago)

kinda all comes down to how injured isaiah is

lag∞n, Monday, 28 August 2017 15:04 (eight years ago)

the answer to all their problems is of course to trade bron

lag∞n, Monday, 28 August 2017 15:25 (eight years ago)

i wonder if accepting injured isaiah only to go back demanding more compensation once everyone in boston (fans etc) accepted kyrie into their lives was cleveland's plan all along...

J0rdan S., Monday, 28 August 2017 15:43 (eight years ago)

it's not like it was a secret that IT had a very bad and potentially debilitating injury...

J0rdan S., Monday, 28 August 2017 15:44 (eight years ago)

i disagree also that the cavs have less leverage. kyrie can posture all he wants about not showing up to training camp but the precedent for a star player of his caliber sitting out a season does not exist. if the cavs had to take him back and couldn't find a better deal he would play for them and they would make it back to the finals. he's not giving up $18 million because he doesn't wanna play with lebron anymore.

J0rdan S., Monday, 28 August 2017 15:46 (eight years ago)

well he doesnt have to sit out to totally destroy clevelands season and franchise

lag∞n, Monday, 28 August 2017 15:55 (eight years ago)

yeah 17 dimensional chess and whatnot the cavs being actually freaked out by ITs injury once they got a look at it seems more likely to me, everyone knows that this deal with a healthy-ish IT is way better than anything the cavs were getting from anyone else, could actually make them better this year, and is good compared to historical allstar trades, blowing up a good deal with shenanigans seems unwise especially since theres no way the celtics are just throwing brown/tatum in

lag∞n, Monday, 28 August 2017 15:56 (eight years ago)

celtics maybe willing to throw them an inconsequential face saving piece/pick but like whatve you done then save face

lag∞n, Monday, 28 August 2017 15:57 (eight years ago)

lol cleve shd ask for rozier if they really want to fuck w ainge, ld actually help them and is p reasonable

lag∞n, Monday, 28 August 2017 15:58 (eight years ago)

the scenario where kyrie plays for the cavs this year and they don't make the finals is like locker room drama of cataclysmic proportions. it's possible but that team has been thru a lot of drama and as far as the east goes it hasn't mattered.

J0rdan S., Monday, 28 August 2017 16:03 (eight years ago)

cleveland is also being run by like the 4th guy in their front office under griffin, he did well on this deal and isn't wrong to try to leverage something here but let's not overcomplicate things he is very very green.

but wld that matter as far as bron leaving or not, i mean if its not true that hes gonna leave and making the finals and losing again wld be fine with him then cleveland is in a pretty chill spot, if his default position as of now is that hes gonna leave having their #2 guy be someone who hates him and is a locker room malcontent who is gonna score some points but just roll his eyes when bron yells at him for not doing the extra stuff that they need him to is prob not gonna help convince him to stay, likewise if hes on the fence then having kyrie around seems not great

clevelands willingness to fulfill kyries trade request makes me think were somewhere in the latter two possibilities, especially since getting that pick looks like insurance against a bronless future

lag∞n, Monday, 28 August 2017 16:11 (eight years ago)

so imo leverage in this deal is prob kinda a wash but cleve is just in a really shitty spot if IT cant go

lag∞n, Monday, 28 August 2017 16:13 (eight years ago)

that they're asking for more compensation and not trying to revoke the trade leads me to believe they thought this was a likely outcome going in

J0rdan S., Monday, 28 August 2017 16:14 (eight years ago)

i'm not alleging 17 dimensional chess or anything but that it would be an interesting ploy to pry a little bit more out of the celtics

J0rdan S., Monday, 28 August 2017 16:15 (eight years ago)

yeah cld be but if they think theyre getting anything more of serious value theyre dum

lag∞n, Monday, 28 August 2017 16:16 (eight years ago)

if IT is seriously injured they prob shdnt make the deal but then theyre just fucked lol sucks to be them, best bet wld prob be to hold on to kyrie and hope a better deal comes along, worse comes to worse they still have kyrie when bron bounces, just have to convince him they loved him all along lol

lag∞n, Monday, 28 August 2017 16:16 (eight years ago)

i guess holding out for a late 1st round pick is better than not having a late 1st round pick but its ultimately pretty inconsequential
