lot of ppl on the twitter seem to think the celtics way overpaid but kyrie having two years left on his deal makes it pretty different than past disgruntled stars wanting out situations, also his age

if he re-signs it was more than a fair trade.... assuming he's actually good of course

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 23 August 2017 16:19 (eight years ago)

been thinking about it and i think ainge is going to trade horford before the season

lag∞n, Wednesday, 23 August 2017 21:18 (eight years ago)

theyre so young now and hes old and doesnt really fit what theyre trying to do but still has a lot of value

lag∞n, Wednesday, 23 August 2017 21:19 (eight years ago)

that seems insane. do they even have a frontcourt without him

ciderpress, Wednesday, 23 August 2017 21:42 (eight years ago)

i think that would make them pretty toxic for other FAs.

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 23 August 2017 21:52 (eight years ago)

i don't see what they could be trying to do in which horford doesn't fit, he's a very all-around player

ciderpress, Wednesday, 23 August 2017 22:01 (eight years ago)

i think ainge is going to trade horford before the season

you are now on the record with this opinion. brave man.

A is for (Aimless), Wednesday, 23 August 2017 23:33 (eight years ago)

in answer to yr rebuttals

1 they wld have to trade him for a front court player, or players as part of a bigger trade

2 this is a reasonable point re free agents

3 al is really good but he doesnt rebound or really protect the rim which is what they need also hes older than everyone else and his foot speed is deteriorating which cld make him a defensive liability before his contract is over, hes already hopeless defending power forwards

4 wow call the police

addendum: hayward is 27 so he might not be that psyched abt a total youth movement right when they signed him, maybe theyll go the other direction and move some of their youth to get another in his prime player idk its just a tough time to do so cause of mostly the warriors and a lil but the cavs, i mean theyll prob stand pat since trades are hard to do but al kinda feels out of step w the rest of the team to me

lag∞n, Wednesday, 23 August 2017 23:45 (eight years ago)

also ainge wld total do it right i mean

lag∞n, Wednesday, 23 August 2017 23:45 (eight years ago)

maybe next year def not right now

ciderpress, Wednesday, 23 August 2017 23:58 (eight years ago)

ainge said something in his press conference for the kyrie trade that made me think he was looking to make another move someone asked him how he felt about the state of the team and he said lets wait til the end of the summer to have that discussion, obvs he cld just be talking abt smaller complimentary moves or just saying that as a matter of course but if he were to make a big move al is the only big contract he has left to trade

― lag∞n, Wednesday, August 23, 2017 7:45 PM (one hour ago)

how do we think kyrie is going to handle potentially being part of a big 3 again and potentially being the worst player of the 3?

k3vin k., Thursday, 24 August 2017 01:26 (eight years ago)

i think itll be fine cause hell be the primary ballhandler scorer

lag∞n, Thursday, 24 August 2017 01:29 (eight years ago)

yeah most likely true

k3vin k., Thursday, 24 August 2017 01:31 (eight years ago)

i mean hayward shd be a solid 1b option but realistically kyrie is more of a pure bucket getter

lag∞n, Thursday, 24 August 2017 01:35 (eight years ago)

Likely there will be a sorting out period for the first two to four months, as the Celtics figure out 'whose team' they are.

A is for (Aimless), Thursday, 24 August 2017 01:45 (eight years ago)

hayward and horford are both guys who play off the ball a fair amount so it works in theory

ciderpress, Thursday, 24 August 2017 01:50 (eight years ago)

kyrie is not worse than al horford and the idea that he's worse than gordon hayward is a little challopsy too, or at least based on a single season

J0rdan S., Thursday, 24 August 2017 04:11 (eight years ago)

kyrie being worse than hayward is prob a legit idea with the right metrics but in the nba hierarchy kyrie is unquestionably ahead.

that said i don't think there are many fit questions in boston, kyrie will play within the offense most of the time and he'll get crunchtime buckets when it makes sense.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 24 August 2017 04:22 (eight years ago)

curious to see if stevens can screw kyrie's head on a lil straight

Clay, Thursday, 24 August 2017 04:36 (eight years ago)

ainge is curious about that, too

A is for (Aimless), Thursday, 24 August 2017 04:36 (eight years ago)

i believe in Beautiful Brad

ciderpress, Thursday, 24 August 2017 13:31 (eight years ago)

yeah i think theres a good chance brad gets through to him especially considering hes never really been in a good stable coaching situation

lag∞n, Thursday, 24 August 2017 13:57 (eight years ago)

re whether hayward is better than kyrie i do think gordon is generally a little underrated just cause the jazz played the slowest pace in the league and didnt have a lot of guys who could break down the defense so his looks were tougher than average half court slog type situations, hell be getting a lot easier baskets on the celtics

lag∞n, Thursday, 24 August 2017 14:01 (eight years ago)

problem solved

Haha I knew what was behind the broken graphic before I even scrolled up, well done

gis for westbrook shark jump (agent hibachi), Thursday, 24 August 2017 21:17 (eight years ago)

Yeah thinking about Stevens piloting an offense with kyrie and Hayward and lots of neat parts got me more psyched about this trade

gis for westbrook shark jump (agent hibachi), Thursday, 24 August 2017 21:18 (eight years ago)

Brad is definitely one of Boston's bigger assets.

A is for (Aimless), Thursday, 24 August 2017 21:20 (eight years ago)

ainge-stevens prob the best gm-coach pair in the league outside pop-ovich

lag∞n, Thursday, 24 August 2017 21:31 (eight years ago)

Shams Charania‏ @ShamsCharania
Manu Ginobili has signed a two-year, $5 million deal to return to the San Antonio Spurs, league sources tell The Vertical.

lag∞n, Thursday, 24 August 2017 21:49 (eight years ago)

Seems reasonable. He might be able to average 5 effective minutes a game, but even if he can't, it is a small price to pay for a man who gave them so much. Go, Manu!

A is for (Aimless), Thursday, 24 August 2017 21:53 (eight years ago)

manu is a bit cooked

k3vin k., Thursday, 24 August 2017 22:00 (eight years ago)

I want to harm you.

seven mambas (m bison), Thursday, 24 August 2017 22:11 (eight years ago)

lol

lag∞n, Thursday, 24 August 2017 22:13 (eight years ago)

he is parboiled

ciderpress, Thursday, 24 August 2017 22:20 (eight years ago)

Many is good about once a month at this point. But essential to the Spurs culture so it's good.

Spottie, Thursday, 24 August 2017 22:35 (eight years ago)

y'all know i love manu. but like the top of his head, he is hard-boiled at this point

k3vin k., Thursday, 24 August 2017 23:58 (eight years ago)

Manu is about to average 30/6/5 bc of this slander

seven mambas (m bison), Friday, 25 August 2017 00:24 (eight years ago)

http://www.slamonline.com/nba/nerlens-noel-turned-down-mavericks-17-5-million-year-offer/#ZTBgY2E2vEBSiIop.97

yo someone tell nerlens it's not last offseason. that's a generous annual number for a guy who hasn't done much in the nba.

call all destroyer, Friday, 25 August 2017 01:37 (eight years ago)

yeah seems like a pretty reasonable number for him

lag∞n, Friday, 25 August 2017 01:40 (eight years ago)

coach nick on kyrie celtics fit

lag∞n, Friday, 25 August 2017 17:43 (eight years ago)

seems like the stuff the celtics were running for isaiah will work good for him, better than what he was getting in cleve, tho obvs hes not gonna have the benefit of the D keying on bron

Kyrie Irving leaves $1,668,172-$5,845,172 on the table by waiving trade kicker

was really not feeling the cavs

lag∞n, Friday, 25 August 2017 19:44 (eight years ago)

love to leave $1,668,172-$5,845,172 on the table

ciderpress, Friday, 25 August 2017 20:06 (eight years ago)

1. put $1,668,172-$5,845,172 on the table
2. leave it there
