call all destroyer, Wednesday, 2 August 2017 02:22 (eight years ago)

All those teams should be throwing 3/24-30 at him

Spottie, Wednesday, 2 August 2017 03:05 (eight years ago)

thx for links. i'm gonan have to check the evidence on this one:

Even in defeat, Paul has posted great individual numbers, but he hasn't been able to consistently win individual matchups against the league's other great point guards

k3vin k., Wednesday, 2 August 2017 18:41 (eight years ago)

was he talking playoffs only for that statement?

Spottie, Wednesday, 2 August 2017 18:56 (eight years ago)

yeah

k3vin k., Wednesday, 2 August 2017 20:03 (eight years ago)

i don't agree with those CP articles at all

ciderpress, Wednesday, 2 August 2017 21:53 (eight years ago)

not sure i do either but his career is def a weird one to dissect and try to figure out.

Spottie, Wednesday, 2 August 2017 22:10 (eight years ago)

i just don't think there's any real data supporting either a) CP3 plays worse in the offs or b) CP3's team should have been a favorite to make the WCF in any year other than 2015. he's an all time great player who's been on otherwise not-good-enough teams in an extremely stacked conference.

ciderpress, Wednesday, 2 August 2017 22:34 (eight years ago)

more or less, yeah

k3vin k., Wednesday, 2 August 2017 22:54 (eight years ago)

i want to believe it's that simple and maybe it is. but in the end im not so sure. i think this year could prove a lot, im so ready.

Spottie, Wednesday, 2 August 2017 23:30 (eight years ago)

idk, i'm not really sure harden and paul are a great fit. i really would have liked to see him on the bucks (or spurs)

k3vin k., Thursday, 3 August 2017 00:43 (eight years ago)

Spurs woulda been perfect

Spottie, Thursday, 3 August 2017 01:21 (eight years ago)

spurs wldve had to move lamarcus and wldve been p thin, rockets have a ton of talent feel like theres more upside there, pauls fit us def kinda weird BUT if harden can adjust his game to compliment pauls that wld solve a lot of the issues with his game in general

lag∞n, Thursday, 3 August 2017 02:56 (eight years ago)

imagine the bucks tho...

k3vin k., Thursday, 3 August 2017 03:01 (eight years ago)

too young

lag∞n, Thursday, 3 August 2017 03:04 (eight years ago)

paul's ideal landing place was...the la clippers lmao

seven mambas (m bison), Thursday, 3 August 2017 03:38 (eight years ago)

the curse of doc rivers

lag∞n, Thursday, 3 August 2017 03:42 (eight years ago)

lol the lob city clippers really were an enigma. Wonder if cp maybe just needs to loosen up a bit? Shimmy a lil, flip some water bottles on the sidelines, take virtual dumps on the court etc

Spottie, Thursday, 3 August 2017 04:38 (eight years ago)

clips & cp have also had terrible luck with injuries

micah, Thursday, 3 August 2017 14:10 (eight years ago)

lol

boogie to portland confirmed

ciderpress, Thursday, 3 August 2017 15:08 (eight years ago)

wonder what CP's carrier would have looked like if he went to that other LA team that he was traded to.

not that there was any doubt

Spottie, Sunday, 6 August 2017 03:03 (eight years ago)

it takes them a few months to reinflate the ball

ciderpress, Sunday, 6 August 2017 05:24 (eight years ago)

seven mambas (m bison), Sunday, 6 August 2017 05:42 (eight years ago)

seven mambas (m bison), Sunday, 6 August 2017 05:42 (eight years ago)

i had a dream i was in portland to attend the wedding of somebody who was like a euron greyjoy without the bloodthirst, and clay was there and we got a drink

, Sunday, 6 August 2017 13:19 (eight years ago)

bud I guarantee you we will get that drink one day

Clay, Sunday, 6 August 2017 14:31 (eight years ago)

looking forward to seeing you at euron greyjoy's wedding

, Sunday, 6 August 2017 14:43 (eight years ago)

lag∞n, Sunday, 6 August 2017 15:39 (eight years ago)

nautical centerpieces

Gaspard de la Nuit: III. ScarJost (Sufjan Grafton), Sunday, 6 August 2017 15:47 (eight years ago)

finally actually read the rest of that ringer piece on cp3 (it was a lot shorter than i thought it'd be) and it's basically "chris paul has great stats but no ringzzz". cool take bro

k3vin k., Sunday, 6 August 2017 17:51 (eight years ago)

the point about his lack of defensive versatility seems interesting until you realize that none of the other elite point guards of his generations are multi-positional stoppers. steph curry and russell westbrook are not out here guarding multiple positions in the playoffs

k3vin k., Sunday, 6 August 2017 18:04 (eight years ago)

russ shd be able to but lol

lag∞n, Sunday, 6 August 2017 18:18 (eight years ago)

Yeah the point guard who can defend multiple positions is now really the holy grail of the pace & space era. Most great defensive points (Kidd, glove, early Tony Parker?, pre insanity rondo) were locking down the opposing point and mostly just switching onto the 2 when needed. Struggling to think of guys who can bring more to full switching defenses nowadays, which makes me think the bucks should have stuck to the point Giannis experiment

gis for westbrook shark jump (agent hibachi), Sunday, 6 August 2017 19:24 (eight years ago)

You know who would have been an incredible defender at the point today, magic

gis for westbrook shark jump (agent hibachi), Sunday, 6 August 2017 19:24 (eight years ago)

being 6-9 helps

k3vin k., Sunday, 6 August 2017 19:26 (eight years ago)

George hill is good, right?

Spottie, Sunday, 6 August 2017 19:59 (eight years ago)

I was somehow not aware that magic johnson is as tall as kevin durant and larry bird. he felt shorter in all of those larry bird tapes, perhaps by design.
