lol nothing matters, about the only stance I can manage as a cavs fan this summer
― marcos, Friday, 21 July 2017 20:17 (eight years ago)
i won't count out any team that still has the bron james on it

Selfishly, I always wanted to just show everyone in the whole entire world exactly who I was every single time."With this in mind, Irving considered requesting a trade after the Cavs' championship last season but decided against it, sources said.

people pretending like kyrie beating people 1 on 1 in the playoffs means he's a great player led to this

apparently the Bucks and the Suns have already called about him
not sure how a trade with the Bucks makes sense. would have to give up Jabari who won't be available until midseason and likely wouldn't much help the Cavs chances this season.

this offseason has been singularly and spectacularly beautiful
― Clay, Friday, 21 July 2017 22:17 (eight years ago)
if i'm being generous it's less about being the #1 guy than not dealing with bron drama for another year, losing in the finals, and watching bron walk.if the cavs had been able to improve the team this summer i doubt he's asking for a trade.
if the cavs had been able to improve the team this summer i doubt he's asking for a trade.
he's only under contract for 2 more years tho, so if bron left next summer he could just demand a trade then saying he's gonna walk anyway and they'd pretty much have no choice but to do it
not playing out this season doesn't really make any sense
― J0rdan S., Friday, 21 July 2017 23:26 (eight years ago)
the only two explanations that make sense to me are:
1. his ego has driven him to delusion2. the max for a player coming off his first contract that kyrie signed was much lower then than it is now, and as the cap jumped he ended up playing for a pretty low salary relative to what he could've got in the open market. so maybe he wants the super max in 2 years in order to cash out as much as possible and feels like he won't put up the numbers to make an all NBA team next to lebron. but that would mean he would have to be traded to a team he would re-sign with.
― J0rdan S., Friday, 21 July 2017 23:41 (eight years ago)
Can't make the super max if he leaves the cavs. Has to be with the team who drafts you
― down that brown path (Spottie), Saturday, 22 July 2017 00:19 (eight years ago)
John Wall just agreed to that supermax. 207 mill

kyrie is a moron, most ppl dream of playing with the bron. and if he wanted to play for the twolves so bad he should have made a move before they signed teague

ok this in the woj article is lol
The Cavaliers are constructed to play a slow, half-court game around James, personnel ill-suited to transition into an up-tempo style with Irving as the centerpiece.

Minnesota has only 11 players under contract, meaning a 3-for-1 deal would leave them with half a roster. Maybe that is Tom Thibodeau's fever dream, so that he can play everyone 40-plus minutes.
^forgot the formatting but that's a quote from lowe's article analyzing who could trade for kyrie
