I've watched almost all of two of tatums summer league games and that guy is gonna hold his own for sure

Some of the stuff he needs to do from midrange he will need to just bulk up a little to pull off but he's only 19! Lebron is gonna devour him defensively the first time they're matched up but I wouldn't be surprised to see him start putting up occasional 20point games after a few months

Some of his footwork really is peak Carmelo level good already

That is to say most all reservations should be a) some rookies just don't pan out and b) he'll need to find a comfortable spot in a fairly stacked rotation which I'd argue is actually a good way to start and get easy buckets while figuring out the hard stuff

Heh yeah the infamous double step back is hilarious but melo really does have some masterful footwork when he's determined to score. I'm sure there are better examples but that came to mind in the tall ish small forward zone

"So we think these new changes will have a significant impact, especially at the end of the game," Silver said. "Overall we go from 18 to 14 timeouts but we have reduced the number of timeouts by four in the last two minutes of the game. Now in the last three minutes of games, each team will have two timeouts. That is significantly down. We will see how that works." Each team will get seven timeouts per game with no restrictions per half. Previously a "full" timeout was 90 seconds" and a "20-second" timeout was 60 seconds. Now, both will be replaced with 75-second team timeouts.

yeah pretty cool. they also moved the trade deadline up to ten days before the all star break instead of after so players would have time to move/acclimate during that break.
