durant was the best player in that series imo. lebron had the same problem he's had for the past few years. great all around play but a ton of turnovers. turnovers matter!

feel like giannis is overrated tho ppls excitement abt is potential is warranted

also feel if u ran some sims (simulations) where u swapped bron and kds teams bron wld play better overall

idk, KD's been the better player imo stretching back to his MVP year

thats false as kd was injured for most of a season and didnt play up to his standard for much of the next

i mean the reason he didn't contend for MVP this year was purely due to his missed time

imo the conventional wisdom that bron is still who you want for a game or a series or a playoffs is correct tho eventually he will retire and die prob

kd def wldve been in the mix for mvp if he wasnt injured

if we're going to ding KD for missing time due to injury we at the very least have to take lebron's last 3 regular seasons where he wasn't trying at face value

i argued hard on this board for KD as the best all around player in that series and MVP, nonetheless i think the absolute peak performance lebron can or chooses to access 3-5 times per year is still the best in the NBA

the giannis ranking might be a place or two to high but in terms of two way impact i don't think it's a stretch to say he's top 10

well i think lebron was better than KD in the final two games of the series. in game 5 he put up 41/13/8 with two steals, a block and two TO. in that game KD put up 39/6/5 with 4 turnovers. in game 4 bron put up 31/10/11 with two turnovers. KD put up 35/4/4 with 1 turnover. even in game 3 you could argue bron was better. as far as turnovers go, bron had 8 turnovers to KD's 0 on in the first game. after that bron had 13 and KD had 11.

i would have voted for KD as MVP and i do think he was the best player in the series. but i think it's much closer than you're making it sound. lebron could not match him in the first two games, and i think watching them it felt as if he had chosen not to.

the kelly o contract seems fairly reasonable for the heat. it's definitely a good fit on the court.

i think the heat got unlucky when cp3 left the clippers so early, which meant the clippers were gonna give blake the 5 year crazy max. maxing out w/ kelly o, waiters & james johnson is def... interesting but i don't think they had many options. and it is a playoff team that could make the second round depending on the matchup.

idk that collection of contracts could go blazers pretty quickly.

read an article the other day about their fading ability to attract major free agency and i don't think it mentioned that the window where they could do that coincided with wade being there a lot more than it did with riley or spo.
