sure thing, just gotta wait a couple few years

down that brown path (Spottie), Thursday, 6 July 2017 22:06 (nine years ago)

id put russ above cp3 at this point

micah, Thursday, 6 July 2017 22:13 (nine years ago)

not a chance

k3vin k., Thursday, 6 July 2017 22:26 (nine years ago)

solid list, agree klay is too high

k3vin k., Thursday, 6 July 2017 22:26 (nine years ago)

i also don't really think lebron is #1 but that's so widely believed at this point there's no use arguing. he's in the top 5 tho

k3vin k., Thursday, 6 July 2017 22:28 (nine years ago)

imo that top 4 is pretty interchangeable

down that brown path (Spottie), Thursday, 6 July 2017 22:29 (nine years ago)

lebron is #1 during the 3-5 games per year where he plays his hardest

J0rdan S., Thursday, 6 July 2017 22:32 (nine years ago)

fair

down that brown path (Spottie), Thursday, 6 July 2017 22:32 (nine years ago)

draymond is better than butler and wall tho imo, i think i'd still take towns over jokic

i also don't think blake is top 20 good anymore, and lowry prob just had a career year

J0rdan S., Thursday, 6 July 2017 22:34 (nine years ago)

durant was the best player in that series imo. lebron had the same problem he's had for the past few years. great all around play but a ton of turnovers. turnovers matter!

k3vin k., Thursday, 6 July 2017 22:41 (nine years ago)

feel like giannis is overrated tho ppls excitement abt is potential is warranted

lag∞n, Thursday, 6 July 2017 23:06 (nine years ago)

also feel if u ran some sims (simulations) where u swapped bron and kds teams bron wld play better overall

lag∞n, Thursday, 6 July 2017 23:07 (nine years ago)

idk, KD's been the better player imo stretching back to his MVP year

k3vin k., Thursday, 6 July 2017 23:09 (nine years ago)

thats false as kd was injured for most of a season and didnt play up to his standard for much of the next

lag∞n, Thursday, 6 July 2017 23:11 (nine years ago)

i mean the reason he didn't contend for MVP this year was purely due to his missed time

k3vin k., Thursday, 6 July 2017 23:11 (nine years ago)

imo the conventional wisdom that bron is still who you want for a game or a series or a playoffs is correct tho eventually he will retire and die prob

lag∞n, Thursday, 6 July 2017 23:13 (nine years ago)

it was also correct that he didnt deserve the mvp

lag∞n, Thursday, 6 July 2017 23:13 (nine years ago)

kd def wldve been in the mix for mvp if he wasnt injured

lag∞n, Thursday, 6 July 2017 23:14 (nine years ago)

if we're going to ding KD for missing time due to injury we at the very least have to take lebron's last 3 regular seasons where he wasn't trying at face value

k3vin k., Thursday, 6 July 2017 23:14 (nine years ago)

i argued hard on this board for KD as the best all around player in that series and MVP, nonetheless i think the absolute peak performance lebron can or chooses to access 3-5 times per year is still the best in the NBA

J0rdan S., Thursday, 6 July 2017 23:14 (nine years ago)

the giannis ranking might be a place or two to high but in terms of two way impact i don't think it's a stretch to say he's top 10

J0rdan S., Thursday, 6 July 2017 23:15 (nine years ago)

j0rdan really hammering home these lebron 3-5 jokes

down that brown path (Spottie), Thursday, 6 July 2017 23:17 (nine years ago)

otm tho

i mean this doesn't really matter tho. bron played about as well as he could have in the finals and KD outplayed him.

turnovers and defense matter!!

k3vin k., Thursday, 6 July 2017 23:20 (nine years ago)

one word: context, think abt it

lag∞n, Thursday, 6 July 2017 23:21 (nine years ago)

lol that's an interesting way of waving away literally all the evidence in favor of your gut feeling that bron is just better

k3vin k., Thursday, 6 July 2017 23:43 (nine years ago)

um its called understanding basketball

Rudy gay to spurs, 2 and 17

nice cage (m bison), Friday, 7 July 2017 00:21 (eight years ago)

Honestly, it's not a bad move for the money. Backing up kawhi, makes their bench with patty (and manu?) more powerful offensively

nice cage (m bison), Friday, 7 July 2017 00:22 (eight years ago)

id image theyre thinking of playing a bunch of smallball w kawhi and rudy together

lag∞n, Friday, 7 July 2017 00:34 (eight years ago)

p great deal either way

lag∞n, Friday, 7 July 2017 00:34 (eight years ago)

Big upgrade from kyle anderson

nice cage (m bison), Friday, 7 July 2017 00:36 (eight years ago)

warriors signing nick young puts them past the 'what could possibly go wrong' line which means of course everything will go wrong next season imo

, Friday, 7 July 2017 00:37 (eight years ago)

theyre due, what will prob happen is steph will retire to play cricket

lag∞n, Friday, 7 July 2017 00:41 (eight years ago)

The thing w gay is... he tore his Achilles and no ones seen him play since so he may actually be worse than slo mo

down that brown path (Spottie), Friday, 7 July 2017 00:46 (eight years ago)

If the dubs retain McGee as well then the karma ball gods may indeed frown upon us

down that brown path (Spottie), Friday, 7 July 2017 00:47 (eight years ago)

rudy gay is, for me, basically an avatar of yesterday's nba

Clay, Friday, 7 July 2017 00:51 (eight years ago)

huh didnt realize that not up on rudy gay news xp

Or, if the documentary rookie of the year teaches us anything, it's that freak injuries often lead to extraordinary athletic improvement

well i think lebron was better than KD in the final two games of the series. in game 5 he put up 41/13/8 with two steals, a block and two TO. in that game KD put up 39/6/5 with 4 turnovers. in game 4 bron put up 31/10/11 with two turnovers. KD put up 35/4/4 with 1 turnover. even in game 3 you could argue bron was better. as far as turnovers go, bron had 8 turnovers to KD's 0 on in the first game. after that bron had 13 and KD had 11.

i would have voted for KD as MVP and i do think he was the best player in the series. but i think it's much closer than you're making it sound. lebron could not match him in the first two games, and i think watching them it felt as if he had chosen not to.

J0rdan S., Friday, 7 July 2017 01:07 (eight years ago)

the kelly o contract seems fairly reasonable for the heat. it's definitely a good fit on the court.

i think the heat got unlucky when cp3 left the clippers so early, which meant the clippers were gonna give blake the 5 year crazy max. maxing out w/ kelly o, waiters & james johnson is def... interesting but i don't think they had many options. and it is a playoff team that could make the second round depending on the matchup.

J0rdan S., Friday, 7 July 2017 01:16 (eight years ago)

idk that collection of contracts could go blazers pretty quickly.

read an article the other day about their fading ability to attract major free agency and i don't think it mentioned that the window where they could do that coincided with wade being there a lot more than it did with riley or spo.
