Xxp yeah I guess it's just weird to see teams not over react to that one good contract year

the heat gave waiters $2.5 million last year he was practically out of the league. this seems like a fair contract for him but it's a huge jump.

tatum will never get called a "system player" but his game in the wrong hands might be that kinda bad inefficient midrange fallaway thing. thankfully he'll be coached by brad stevens.

it's insane to me that even smart nba people last year parroted the "no contract given out this offseason can be a bad contract!" thing when right now there's like 5 contracts given out last year that are now the worst in basketball

yeah the way the blazers just radically suicided last summer is so painful

Portland's payroll is out of control bad.

yeah they signed not one but 3 fever dream contracts last offseason. they've created a really low artificial ceiling for their team

the evan turner contract is a borderline fireable offense

it will be interesting to see what they do cuz they're capped out next year and have to start paying nurkic huge money

unless they can find another dumb team to bail them out they'll have to choose between paying repeater tax for a 7-8 seed team or trading their good players

theyre gonna have to blow it up

they could easily miss the playoffs next year, with a roster thats 40m over the cap
