call all destroyer, Friday, 16 June 2017 20:11 (nine years ago)

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 20:18 (nine years ago)

yeah i cant imagine cp being ok with hardens lack of defensive intensity

micah, Friday, 16 June 2017 20:19 (nine years ago)

maybe he cld shape him up a lil

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 20:30 (nine years ago)

uhhhhh

League sources tell @ZachLowe_NBA and me that the Sixers and Celtics are in serious talks on a trade involving the No. 1 overall pick.

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 21:29 (nine years ago)

why does ainge want more picks this is crazy

Current iteration, per league sources to @espn, is a package of a draft picks from Philly, including No. 3 overall, to the Celtics for No. 1

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 21:32 (nine years ago)

wonder who danny's fixated on that's not fultz/ball

ciderpress, Friday, 16 June 2017 21:34 (nine years ago)

picks

nice cage (m bison), Friday, 16 June 2017 21:35 (nine years ago)

jackson is such an ainge player, crazy talent w a fucked up jumper

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 21:36 (nine years ago)

+he gets more picks, this man need help

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 21:37 (nine years ago)

when i first saw this i figured he must be getting simmons or something but...more picks??

k3vin k., Friday, 16 June 2017 21:38 (nine years ago)

i doubt he'd do this without a specific guy in mind that's not going in the top 2 but is lottery quality. jackson seems redundant to guys they have already tho

ciderpress, Friday, 16 June 2017 21:38 (nine years ago)

guys, ainge just likes picks.

nice cage (m bison), Friday, 16 June 2017 21:41 (nine years ago)

projecting out the only guy they really have to worry abt making redundant is brown and him and jackson are def similar but they both have a lot of positional flexibility so theyre prob not worried abt it, cld see ainge being into fox too tho

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 21:41 (nine years ago)

The Celtics could also be acquiring more first-round picks to deal for Jimmy Butler, per league source.

— Adam Zagoria (@AdamZagoria) June 16, 2017

none of this really makes any sense to me (except maybe bisons picks theorem)

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 21:43 (nine years ago)

if a unprotected 2019 first rounder could start at C next year, ainge would get it

nice cage (m bison), Friday, 16 June 2017 21:46 (nine years ago)

a team of all picks and expiring contract wld be next level

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 21:50 (nine years ago)

there's only so many rookies you can add to a 12-man roster so if the celtics are acquiring *more* picks the only logical explanation is that they're going to consolidate them in a trade for 1 player?

J0rdan S., Friday, 16 June 2017 21:51 (nine years ago)

Boston would acquire Sixers No. 3 overall pick in 2017 and package to include future first from Sixers, sources say. https://t.co/AK5LyYXnYX

— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojVerticalNBA) June 16, 2017

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 21:52 (nine years ago)

but why wld the team theyre trading with want more picks instead of the #1 this is not normal xp

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 21:52 (nine years ago)

maybe it's a deep enough draft that whoever the third team is has told them they'd rather have the third pick and more first than just first overall?

J0rdan S., Friday, 16 June 2017 21:55 (nine years ago)

cld i guess see someone wanting to take a stab at next years draft lot of ppl think the top two are better than anyone in this years, and that person is prob danny ainge lol

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 21:57 (nine years ago)

Big downgrade for me from the #1 pick to #3. Was told Ainge looking for a "Brooklyn type fleece" to get deal done. Let's see if that happens

— Jonathan Givony (@DraftExpress) June 16, 2017

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 22:02 (nine years ago)

if they get the sixers 2018 first rounder they could still trade that (or the nets pick) and get a bite at the top 2

J0rdan S., Friday, 16 June 2017 22:02 (nine years ago)

#3 is not the best spot i agree... you could absolutely get a great player but there's so many conceivable people to pick that you could also end up looking like a giant ass

J0rdan S., Friday, 16 June 2017 22:03 (nine years ago)

Chad Ford‏
Celtics have been high on Josh Jackson. If they get him + another valuable asset or 2 from Philly, it’s another major win for Ainge

josh jackson not my fav player but the celtics could use a true 3 who can play the 4 also. i like jonathan isaac more tho.

J0rdan S., Friday, 16 June 2017 22:05 (nine years ago)

isaac is a tantalizing talent but has strong bust vibes too

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 22:06 (nine years ago)

jackson will def do some stuff in the league

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 22:07 (nine years ago)

ainge gotta be after more than the 3 and next years pick it just doesnt scan, he wants saric

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 22:11 (nine years ago)

im in too deep in reading the comments

It's gonna be the lakers pick right

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 16 June 2017 22:50 (nine years ago)

oh yeah that still exists right

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 22:55 (nine years ago)

good call its not protected next year, ainge going after this years 3 and next years philly and lakers picks makes more sense

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 22:57 (nine years ago)

The lakers really should be a better team next year but they should have been a better team last year

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 16 June 2017 23:03 (nine years ago)

yeah theyre still soo young, will be adding another rookie this year

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 23:06 (nine years ago)

did not realize chad ford was daddy but this time of year i guess it makes sense

Clay, Friday, 16 June 2017 23:16 (nine years ago)

trading 2 first round picks -- top 5 most likely in their own right -- to move up two spots to #1 is something you'd only do for like an anthony davis or KAT level prospect so that would be an interesting bet by the sixers

J0rdan S., Friday, 16 June 2017 23:19 (nine years ago)

So hearing the three this year, a future 76ers first and Lakers 2018 on the table to Celtics for the number one... thats a ton of value

— Steve Kyler (@stevekylerNBA) June 16, 2017

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 23:23 (nine years ago)

i like fultz a lot but i dont think hes nearly a kat-brow level prospect

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 23:25 (nine years ago)

its illegal for an nba story to not have accompanying tweet drama now http://www.businessinsider.com/celtics-markelle-fultz-76ers-trade-sixers-nba-draft-2017-6

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 23:29 (nine years ago)

yeah i mean that seems like a blatantly crazy trade by the sixers lol

J0rdan S., Friday, 16 June 2017 23:30 (nine years ago)

i guess one problem the sixers have is that ben simmons is a total non-shooter & saric despite his reputation really wasn't one either last year. and the two best shooters in the draft are projected to go 1-2. still tho i'd just sit there and take dennis smith jr or something.

J0rdan S., Friday, 16 June 2017 23:33 (nine years ago)

feel like the sixers are so ready to move past the process they cld do something crazy

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 23:36 (nine years ago)

it does appear that way doesn't it

the process remains fascinating even just for the fact that the sixers are still a team with 4 big men picked in the top 10 which regardless of anything else is not going to simply resolve itself

J0rdan S., Friday, 16 June 2017 23:39 (nine years ago)

ainge just going for the gming degree of difficulty - getting the top three picks in next years draft while fielding a playoff team

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 23:40 (nine years ago)

yeah the biggest flaw in process theory is that players are just fungible assets

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 23:42 (nine years ago)

yeah and also the idea that you could draft too many players at one position and not end up devaluing the "assets" that get lost in the shuffle

J0rdan S., Friday, 16 June 2017 23:45 (nine years ago)

btw sidenote the celtics have this guy who a lot of ppl think wld be a top 10 pick coming in this year https://www.boston.com/sports/boston-celtics/2017/06/16/meet-celtics-prospect-ante-zizic

lag∞n, Friday, 16 June 2017 23:53 (nine years ago)

yeah that guy is apparently good now

ciderpress, Saturday, 17 June 2017 00:05 (nine years ago)

celtics shd shoot for having jaylen brown be the oldest player on their team by this time next year
