spurs would be dope

Spurs is pretty perfect on paper

would be a legitimate threat to GS

cp3 on the rockets would be the biggest threat to the warriors in the west

the fit is much cleaner as they say w/ the spurs but i think the potential w/ the rockets is higher

cp3 on the rockets is not much better than cp3 on the clippers

cp3 to spurs only works if he is willing to take a significant pay cut from his potential max, not that it would have to be a huge paycut from what he was making this past year. spurs just cant get to that ~$40 mil/year number without gutting the whole roster.

well the rockets were better than the clippers so idk if that's true

rockets biggest issue seems liek defending the warriors and cp3 doesnt really address that, which is not to say that they cldnt get cp3 and address defending the warriors

clippers finished four games back when they lost blake and cp3 for 21 games each. a healthy clippers team would finish ahead of the rox this past year.

Not sure the guy who negotiated bigger max contracts for older players is gonna be the guy to not take a bigger max contract as an older player

jordan the clippers 2 best players missed significant time in the regular season and griffin hurt himself in the second game of the playoffs, let's not overthink things here

anyway my belief is that the healthy 2017 rockets would still have beaten the healthy 2017 clippers in a 7 game playoff series but i don't think it's crazy to disagree.

spottie's point is pretty interesting about cp3 and d'antoni meshing. paul seems like the kind of guy who would want a lot of control over the schemes

diantonis scheme is basically just make fast reads tho theres a ton of freedom within it just not to stand around aimlessly dribbling

feel like it wld actually be really good for paul as long as he was willing to give up some of those super deliberate pnrs and play off the ball a lil more

wld prob get great looks plus save his body a lil

yeah it could work for sure, paul and harden would arguably be the best 1-2 of all time, ridiculous combination of ball handling, shooting, and passing between the two

if a unprotected 2019 first rounder could start at C next year, ainge would get it

a team of all picks and expiring contract wld be next level

there's only so many rookies you can add to a 12-man roster so if the celtics are acquiring *more* picks the only logical explanation is that they're going to consolidate them in a trade for 1 player?

maybe it's a deep enough draft that whoever the third team is has told them they'd rather have the third pick and more first than just first overall?
