drummond is such an awful defender, wonder if he cld reform at all
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 14 June 2017 19:29 (nine years ago)
also going after a powerforward makes more sense from the pov of center is horfords natural position
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 14 June 2017 19:30 (nine years ago)
but on the other hand drummond is an absolute beast otherwise and they likely wldnt have to give up that much to get him
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 14 June 2017 19:31 (nine years ago)
that team would be bad lol
― k3vin k., Wednesday, 14 June 2017 20:48 (nine years ago)
shooting is important in the nba iirc
hot take: drummond sucks
― nice cage (m bison), Wednesday, 14 June 2017 20:53 (nine years ago)
i like that celts/c's trade a lot actually?? bradley is a beast, crowder is a good 3 and d guy, dont know much about rozier but he's got to be a better backup PG than deron williams. leaves the cavs kinda shallow at PF, though. unless they move bron to the 4, put a smallish wing package of JR and bradley out there as starters. idk! but cool to think about.
― nice cage (m bison), Wednesday, 14 June 2017 20:55 (nine years ago)
pretty sure we were talking about bradley+crowder for love like a year and a half ago, & it still makes sense

whatre u talkin abt man
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 14 June 2017 22:25 (nine years ago)
can't tell if ur joking but a team that starts westbrook, drummond, and DAJ would struggle to score
― k3vin k., Wednesday, 14 June 2017 22:30 (nine years ago)
oh that one lol, yeah
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 14 June 2017 22:32 (nine years ago)
i read it as the guy saying get one of them but maybe he meant get two huge non shooting centers idk

otm, was thinking bron at the 4 tho he prob wldnt want to play there all season due to wear and tear issues
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 14 June 2017 22:34 (nine years ago)
tho crowder can play some 4 too, him n bron cld just be sort of vague forwards
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 14 June 2017 22:37 (nine years ago)
Starting vague forward, from an indiscriminate point in Northeast Ohio, standing in excess of 6 but no more than 7 feet, LeBron jaaaaaaaaaaaaames

imo that has a decent chance of happening.

― nomar, Thursday, 15 June 2017 17:34 (nine years ago)
melo getting paid off by the knicks via stubbornness/grudge against phil then joining a contender for free wld be a good subplot for next season
― lag∞n, Thursday, 15 June 2017 18:20 (nine years ago)
i kinda hope melo stays stuck in NYK but his destiny is to get stretch waived and fall short of winning a championship in cleveland
― nice cage (m bison), Thursday, 15 June 2017 19:05 (nine years ago)
otm
― lag∞n, Thursday, 15 June 2017 19:06 (nine years ago)
yea i don't really see how getting melo would help us win against golden state
― marcos, Thursday, 15 June 2017 19:14 (nine years ago)
it wouldnt! the idea of going after paul george is intriguing, the melo idea is just bad.
― nice cage (m bison), Thursday, 15 June 2017 19:22 (nine years ago)
cld give them flexibility to trade love for role players, but yeah as constructed hed be p redundant to that team, tho some sort of microwave role cld work i guess
― lag∞n, Thursday, 15 June 2017 19:22 (nine years ago)
cavs dont have any pieces to get george i mean unless they want to trade kyrie which wld just be a sideways move
― lag∞n, Thursday, 15 June 2017 19:23 (nine years ago)
kyrie and bron are a good complement ive decided

cant see it hes worse and older than george/not on the pacers timeline
― lag∞n, Thursday, 15 June 2017 19:34 (nine years ago)
tho maybe if the pacers absolutely just need to get something for him cause hes gonna leave after the season anyway
― lag∞n, Thursday, 15 June 2017 19:35 (nine years ago)
trueeeee
yeah the cavs are stuck which fine i guess, theyre already hella good

the cavs were giving like 20 mpg each to richard jefferson and kyle korver to be essentially useless. i think i'd take melo!
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 15 June 2017 20:13 (nine years ago)
tristan thompson another player who was basically rendered useless in this series
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 15 June 2017 20:15 (nine years ago)
the cavs have plenty of room for more good players
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 15 June 2017 20:16 (nine years ago)
tru, tho melo is a pretty unperfect fit
― lag∞n, Thursday, 15 June 2017 20:20 (nine years ago)
i think he would be an imperfect fit bcuz the cavs best offense vs the warriors is lebron and kyrie going 1 on 1 and they don't really need one more person to do that. in theory melo would be a great person to shoot open threes or make plays off the dribble on close outs or post up smaller guys on mismatches etc but.... that would take a complete sublimation of his ego so it would be a lot to ask.
i do think in general that's a problem when we're talking about them acquiring like paul george. the warriors could add KD bcuz draymond and KD were not ball dominant scorers, so there was room open for KD in that regard. but the cavs already have two of those guys, adding a third would start to get really complicated. is paul george just gonna stand around the three point line waiting for lebron to pass to him out of a double team?
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 15 June 2017 20:27 (nine years ago)
it's a tough call, melo's track record of not playing like an ass is pretty short but if he arrived w/an open mind it could be interesting.
i think the larger prob is figuring out how any of the wings that the cavs could target learn to play complementary ball to lebron when they've never had to do something like that before. when i scan the league for ideal fits for the cavs the main name i come up with starts with a k and ends with the first three letters of a high-percentage basketball shot.
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 15 June 2017 20:28 (nine years ago)
draymon and klay** i mean in that second graf xp

xp jord and i making similar points
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 15 June 2017 20:29 (nine years ago)
pg wld be insanely perfect as a jack of all trades medium usage player who cld shoulder a bigger load while bron or kyrie was on the bench, he prob wldnt be that into it tho
― lag∞n, Thursday, 15 June 2017 20:30 (nine years ago)
love is a great fit for them on offense vs every other team in the NBA except the warriors. in this series tho he had trouble taking advantage of theoretical mismatches in the post. i mean vs draymond isn't a mismatch, but klay credible defended him in the post which is a problem

― Clay, Thursday, 15 June 2017 21:19 (nine years ago)
