on the other hand, klay thompson being your clear fourth best player should not be allowed

J0rdan S., Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:33 (nine years ago)

lebron has been the best player in the series

lag∞n, Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:33 (nine years ago)

as he has been every year of this trilogy

lag∞n, Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:34 (nine years ago)

i don't think so. they've been about equals on offense but durant's defense especially in the first two games has been way more impactful.

J0rdan S., Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:35 (nine years ago)

okaaaay

lag∞n, Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:36 (nine years ago)

also Steph has been amazing. the gap between best players 1-3 has been small

fo, fo, fo, fo (Spottie), Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:37 (nine years ago)

i don't think it's really debatable that durant has been the better defensive player in this series. to say lebron's been the better all around would mean you have to argue that lebron's been a step ahead offensively, which isn't true either.

J0rdan S., Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:41 (nine years ago)

the narrative is strong

lag∞n, Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:42 (nine years ago)

fellas, both teams played hard.

A is for (Aimless), Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:43 (nine years ago)

yeah incredible game not sure how that was boring to anyone

Lebro w the draymo impersonation

Let's talk about this interesting kick by Lebron.. 🤔🤔 pic.twitter.com/6mnjQOFaQd

fo, fo, fo, fo (Spottie), Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:46 (nine years ago)

they've both been incredible. what people always discount is turnovers. durant has had six in 3 games. lebron has had 17

k3vin k., Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:48 (nine years ago)

those turnovers explain probably 20% of the difference in this series

k3vin k., Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:49 (nine years ago)

game 3 definitely not boring but a likely 16-0 playoff run is unless you are a dubs fan imo

marcos, Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:50 (nine years ago)

durant also had like 25 uncontested dunks

lag∞n, Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:50 (nine years ago)

i don't fault lebron for the turnovers, clearly his burden is greater than durant's

J0rdan S., Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:52 (nine years ago)

i just think durant is in the top 0.5 percentile of affecting the game on both ends in this series

J0rdan S., Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:53 (nine years ago)

you can argyle they're a necessary part of his game but i think his ceiling his lowered by that. like those 17 possessions mattered

k3vin k., Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:53 (nine years ago)

i don't think it's a necessary part of his game just that vs this team he has to try and make plays. he's in an unenviable situation.

J0rdan S., Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:54 (nine years ago)

to me, the most dominant basketball games i've ever seen played by one player is lebron in the final two games of last year's finals. durant is not at that level this year, but he's gotten close when you take into account his length on defense and his ease of scoring on offense, and it's been more than enough in this particular series.

J0rdan S., Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:56 (nine years ago)

i am not sure we are disagreeing, durant has clearly been the best

k3vin k., Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:57 (nine years ago)

i'm arguing w/ you and lagoon at the same time

J0rdan S., Thursday, 8 June 2017 04:58 (nine years ago)

yeah, I hear you but these type of teams never last as long as people think they will, the league adjusts, teams adjust, players leave, players get injured, etc. last year I was saying to people I talk to irl that I wanted a competitive series but that bit me. I want a sweep after hearing/seeing 3-1 jokes for 12 months straight.

fo, fo, fo, fo (Spottie), Thursday, 8 June 2017 05:00 (nine years ago)

wow

Anyone else see Stephen Curry take a dump on he Cavs floor after Kevin Durant made that 3? 😂😂😂😂#DubNation #CavsNation #NBAFinals pic.twitter.com/Uvo08aQNqY

you will probably get that sweep, but no broom could ever sweep away the fact that the warriors blew a 3-1 lead

nice cage (m bison), Thursday, 8 June 2017 05:03 (nine years ago)

jeeez steph

Clay, Thursday, 8 June 2017 05:04 (nine years ago)

right right the same way no one will ever take away the Ray Allen three game I know. will always hurt but winning the year after would be a nice bandaid.

fo, fo, fo, fo (Spottie), Thursday, 8 June 2017 05:04 (nine years ago)

it's true that things happen but the bulls and kobe/shaq lakers make it pretty clear that an nba team can win 3+ championships in a row

J0rdan S., Thursday, 8 June 2017 05:05 (nine years ago)

cant believe steph pooped on court, this finals is null now

i know this supposed to make me feel bad but it doesnt! because the spurs did not blow a 3-1 lead after winning 73 games.

nice cage (m bison), Thursday, 8 June 2017 05:09 (nine years ago)

wow steph dgaf

k3vin k., Thursday, 8 June 2017 05:10 (nine years ago)

iirc the rules state that the a team loses when they have less points at the end of the allotted time of play or if a player mimes a dump on the court whichever comes first so yeah adam silver will be taking a close look at this xp

Clay, Thursday, 8 June 2017 05:10 (nine years ago)

(btw congrats to your buster ass team of frontrunners)
xp

nice cage (m bison), Thursday, 8 June 2017 05:10 (nine years ago)

i bet my friend 20 bucks and laid 3 points so the last couple of minutes were a good time for me

k3vin k., Thursday, 8 June 2017 05:11 (nine years ago)

fo, fo, fo, fo (Spottie), Thursday, 8 June 2017 05:15 (nine years ago)

i've really enjoyed the warriors this finals. very pleasing basketball.

J0rdan S., Thursday, 8 June 2017 05:15 (nine years ago)

it's been absolutely gorgeous but i don't feel good abt it

Clay, Thursday, 8 June 2017 05:17 (nine years ago)

its a comparison thats been made before, but globetrotters.

nice cage (m bison), Thursday, 8 June 2017 05:18 (nine years ago)

everything with these warriors from about game 2 of the regular season onward has felt inevitable.

nice cage (m bison), Thursday, 8 June 2017 05:19 (nine years ago)

i really like my analogy btw it's perfect

k3vin k., Thursday, 8 June 2017 05:20 (nine years ago)
