nuggs have one star and a handful of intriguing question marks, cld really go either way
― lag∞n, Thursday, 1 June 2017 16:13 (nine years ago)
they need to a. develop their dudes and b. find those role player steals
― lag∞n, Thursday, 1 June 2017 16:14 (nine years ago)
yep
― k3vin k., Thursday, 1 June 2017 16:15 (nine years ago)
if they were the celtics or the spurs id feel pretty confident in their future but their handling of the nurkic situation makes me think it isnt "a slam dunk"
― lag∞n, Thursday, 1 June 2017 16:15 (nine years ago)
the perfect player for the nuggs is........................draymond
― k3vin k., Thursday, 1 June 2017 16:16 (nine years ago)
aw i just got really sad because it will never happen but it is perfect :(
― k3vin k., Thursday, 1 June 2017 16:17 (nine years ago)
ha praying for u
― lag∞n, Thursday, 1 June 2017 16:21 (nine years ago)
it is possible imo, dubs gonna be facing a salary crunch, the org kinda hates him.......
― lag∞n, Thursday, 1 June 2017 16:22 (nine years ago)
yeah i was thinking abt that too
― ciderpress, Thursday, 1 June 2017 16:59 (nine years ago)
they need a primary scorer though too, dray doesn't do anything in that realm
― ciderpress, Thursday, 1 June 2017 17:00 (nine years ago)
lolwut the org hates him? thats nonsense

you might have heard of this guy JOKIC
― k3vin k., Thursday, 1 June 2017 17:22 (nine years ago)
also murray looks like he is gonna be a 20 point scorer, barton scores off the bench, gallo is an elite shot creator. what they need is defense and another ballhandler
― k3vin k., Thursday, 1 June 2017 17:23 (nine years ago)
huh i didn't notice how efficiently gary harris was scoring this season
― ciderpress, Thursday, 1 June 2017 17:36 (nine years ago)
yeah harris too
― k3vin k., Thursday, 1 June 2017 17:38 (nine years ago)
nugs had one of the best offenses in the league and i can't see that changing unless jokic is hurt
― k3vin k., Thursday, 1 June 2017 17:39 (nine years ago)
garry harris was on the woj podcast a couple weeks back btw

its been in a bunch of articles!
― lag∞n, Thursday, 1 June 2017 20:40 (nine years ago)
lets say he shoots 20% from three in the finals gets a couple techs the dubs lose and he gets in another bar fight...... and someone steps up with a trade for a couple cheap young players and a solid role player
― lag∞n, Thursday, 1 June 2017 20:41 (nine years ago)
dubs do need to start thinking about finding ways to cut some salary before long
― Clay, Thursday, 1 June 2017 21:10 (nine years ago)
i forgot that KD only signed a 1 year contract..
― ciderpress, Thursday, 1 June 2017 21:39 (nine years ago)
they have to pay both steph and KD this offseason interesting
he just said hed be willing to take under max fwiw
― lag∞n, Thursday, 1 June 2017 21:40 (nine years ago)
yeah im sure they'll work out a way to keep their big 4 but they lose iggy and all their bench players this offseason too its gonna be a squeeze to get a complete roster unless someone takes a big cut
― ciderpress, Thursday, 1 June 2017 21:46 (nine years ago)
gsw only have klay (18 mil), dray (16 mil) and four garbage bench players (5 mil total) contracted for next season.
everyone else is off the books including zaza, west, iguadola, livingston, clark, javale etc. theres going to be a lot of changes
― micah, Thursday, 1 June 2017 21:47 (nine years ago)
i'm sure they'll find a way to pay the vet min to 8 ringless guys just out of their peak
― Clay, Thursday, 1 June 2017 21:52 (nine years ago)
i just don't see them getting anyone on a vet min that can make up for what livingston and iggy gave them
― ciderpress, Thursday, 1 June 2017 21:56 (nine years ago)
iggy eluded to the fact that they already have it figured out on a pod he was on. he wants to stay and i bet is willing to take even less money.
― fo, fo, fo, fo (Spottie), Thursday, 1 June 2017 21:56 (nine years ago)
i'm thrilled to announce i will be playing for GSW next year for one thousand hundred dollars
― 龜, Thursday, 1 June 2017 21:56 (nine years ago)
iggy's raking in that silicon valley tech money
― fo, fo, fo, fo (Spottie), Thursday, 1 June 2017 22:03 (nine years ago)

if the warriors owners aren't willing to pay insane amounts in luxury tax something will have to give
― J0rdan S., Friday, 2 June 2017 14:12 (nine years ago)
ultimately everyone beyond steph, KD and draymond is expendable, including klay
― J0rdan S., Friday, 2 June 2017 14:13 (nine years ago)
― k3vin k., Friday, 2 June 2017 14:26 (nine years ago)
don't see why they'd balk at paying the tax tho, they have to be making so much money from merch and TV. plus they can legally go over the cap to sign steph, right?
― k3vin k., Friday, 2 June 2017 14:27 (nine years ago)
iirc the luxury tax is truly insane if you pay it for more than one season
― micah, Friday, 2 June 2017 14:35 (nine years ago)
ya
― lag∞n, Friday, 2 June 2017 14:37 (nine years ago)
if anyone can pay it is the bay area billionaires right
― marcos, Friday, 2 June 2017 14:43 (nine years ago)
most franchise owners are loathe to pay hundreds of millions of extra money into their teams
― J0rdan S., Friday, 2 June 2017 14:55 (nine years ago)
yeah i mean even if youre a bay area billionaire its still a lot of money
― lag∞n, Friday, 2 June 2017 14:58 (nine years ago)
mickey arison is worth $9 billion and balked at paying like $20 something million in extra tax to keep mike miller around even tho they knew it was going to deeply annoy lebron
― J0rdan S., Friday, 2 June 2017 14:59 (nine years ago)
the warriors are a different case but if we're talking like $75-$100 million in tax money or something then they're basically just accepting a loss on the team for several years and i don't think that's tenable
― J0rdan S., Friday, 2 June 2017 15:00 (nine years ago)
its official the warriors are cooked
― ciderpress, Friday, 2 June 2017 15:09 (nine years ago)
the insane tax bill is when u go over the line 3 out of 4 years, the warriors went over the line this year for the first time so theyre in pretty good shape on that front https://www.statista.com/statistics/262004/nba-teams-by-luxury-tax-payments
buut this article says they cld still be paying $100m in tax next year even without the repeater tax https://sports.yahoo.com/news/warriors-could-eclipse-260-million-165703400.html
― lag∞n, Friday, 2 June 2017 15:16 (nine years ago)
oh wait that chart i posted only goes up to last year so the warriors paid the tax last year but just got under it this year
― lag∞n, Friday, 2 June 2017 15:20 (nine years ago)
they will def be over next year so then in 2018-19 is when theyll be facing paying the dreaded repeater tax which basically doubles their tax bill, they cld bite the bullet and pay a huge tax next year then make whatever trades they need to in two years i guess but itd be a pretty monumental job, kinda think they might be looking at moving one of their dudes this offseason
― lag∞n, Friday, 2 June 2017 15:24 (nine years ago)
klay def seems like the odd man out and they cld prob get a p good haul for him
― lag∞n, Friday, 2 June 2017 15:27 (nine years ago)
