im talking as much shit as possible bc we are probably gonna get trashed by the warriors aka the fakest bunch of fake ass gangsters who might as well be a 19th century trust but with basketball instead of oil and railroads

really enjoyed watching murray tonight. def seems like he'll be a player.

J0rdan S., Friday, 12 May 2017 03:57 (nine years ago)

GSW are just enjoying the fruits of a super-cheap Steph contract atm. Their idyll will end soon enough.

A is for (Aimless), Friday, 12 May 2017 03:59 (nine years ago)

before he got injured, he was getting some good minutes and had some performances. prediction: if he can shoot >40% from 3, he will make at least one all start team. he's got the prototype NBA body (6'5" tall and long arms) and hes fast and he's being coached by pop.

nice cage (m bison), Friday, 12 May 2017 03:59 (nine years ago)

oh yeah if he ever shoots that well from 3 he'll be a star. won't even need to shoot that well to be good tho.

J0rdan S., Friday, 12 May 2017 04:01 (nine years ago)

nice for the spurs to get some more size in the backcourt. him, DG & w/ kawhi will be terror on defense.

J0rdan S., Friday, 12 May 2017 04:02 (nine years ago)

omg wow tw

Is that how the cap works now? I guess they have to pay him 40m a year and it's only 100... I got used to teams being able to keep all their stars no matter what.

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 12 May 2017 07:23 (nine years ago)

*if they were willing to pay

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 12 May 2017 07:23 (nine years ago)

you cant really overstate how punitive the luxury tax gets after the first year tho

micah, Friday, 12 May 2017 11:14 (nine years ago)

clearly their only option is to trade dray to orlando

lag∞n, Friday, 12 May 2017 16:34 (nine years ago)

zach lowe it was my understanding the bulls didnt want to make this kind of trade

Boston would have almost no chance against Cleveland, and the "almost" is generous. Swap, say, Crowder, Marcus Smart, and a Nets pick for Butler, and the odds of an upset get better.

lag∞n, Friday, 12 May 2017 16:35 (nine years ago)

i've developed a new orlando magic theory

ciderpress, Friday, 12 May 2017 16:37 (nine years ago)

i would not trade crowder, smart, and the nets pick for butler!!

k3vin k., Friday, 12 May 2017 16:39 (nine years ago)

and neither wld the bulls!

lag∞n, Friday, 12 May 2017 16:40 (nine years ago)

anyway good article otherwise http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/19361564/zach-lowe-boston-celtics-vs-washington-wizards-game-6-nba

my takeaway washington has the best player but boston plays better

lag∞n, Friday, 12 May 2017 16:40 (nine years ago)

emma baccellieri's deadspin piece "James Harden Comes To Houston To Watch Rockets Take On Spurs" is cold but accurate

nomar, Friday, 12 May 2017 16:44 (nine years ago)

some good highlights of hardens game

lag∞n, Friday, 12 May 2017 16:47 (nine years ago)

lagoon would you do that trade if you're boston?

k3vin k., Friday, 12 May 2017 16:48 (nine years ago)

loool xp

marcos, Friday, 12 May 2017 16:48 (nine years ago)

amazing scene

ya

lag∞n, Friday, 12 May 2017 16:52 (nine years ago)

tho if they actually get the #1 pick prob no

lag∞n, Friday, 12 May 2017 16:52 (nine years ago)

im in the harden was concussed camp

ciderpress, Friday, 12 May 2017 16:53 (nine years ago)

def seems like a reasonable theory

lag∞n, Friday, 12 May 2017 16:53 (nine years ago)

the fact that he threw the ball to a phantom teammate instead of trying to draw a phantom foul on a three pt shot says something.

nomar, Friday, 12 May 2017 16:56 (nine years ago)

the dream scenario for boston tho as i wrote in the offseason thread is not to trade for butler but rather for dre jordan and then sign gordo hayward

lag∞n, Friday, 12 May 2017 16:56 (nine years ago)

long shot on both counts but not impossible, wld be happy to trade for butler too tho then they still need to address their rebounding problems

lag∞n, Friday, 12 May 2017 16:57 (nine years ago)

i think hayward is like 90% to stay in utah

ciderpress, Friday, 12 May 2017 16:59 (nine years ago)

yeah seems like he has a p good setup there + they can offer him a lot more money, only wild cards are what if hes madly in love with brad, and if the celtics succeed in trading for another star the celtics wld be a much better team than the jazz, and he wld escape the horrors of having to play the dubs in the second round

lag∞n, Friday, 12 May 2017 17:01 (nine years ago)

oh dang i forgot about the brad stevens connection

ciderpress, Friday, 12 May 2017 17:03 (nine years ago)

tbf imagining him and brad having a love connection is not hard

lag∞n, Friday, 12 May 2017 17:04 (nine years ago)

much more so than the weird sweaty drug addicted undercover cop they have in utah

lag∞n, Friday, 12 May 2017 17:05 (nine years ago)

lol really brad shd be in utah and snyder shd be in boston culture wise

lag∞n, Friday, 12 May 2017 17:05 (nine years ago)

when was the last time a top 30 player went west to east

ciderpress, Friday, 12 May 2017 17:08 (nine years ago)

isaiah to boston B-)

lag∞n, Friday, 12 May 2017 17:09 (nine years ago)

dont think he was a top 30 player 2 years ago

ciderpress, Friday, 12 May 2017 17:09 (nine years ago)

he was but no one realized it

lag∞n, Friday, 12 May 2017 17:10 (nine years ago)

snyder always struck me as a surfer stoner dude listening to him talk

k3vin k., Friday, 12 May 2017 17:10 (nine years ago)

the story of isaiahs career preboston is so funny and weird both sacto and phoenix looked at his production and went "this cannot be possible" then traded him for nothing

lag∞n, Friday, 12 May 2017 17:11 (nine years ago)

ive watched a lot of movies and i know what a crooked cop looks like

https://nesncom.files.wordpress.com/2014/06/quin-snyder.jpg

lag∞n, Friday, 12 May 2017 17:13 (nine years ago)

he crossed the thin blue line, now hes desperate, and in too deep

sign me as another vote for concussed harden

Chocolate-covered gummy bears? Not ruling those lil' guys out. (ulysses), Friday, 12 May 2017 17:17 (nine years ago)

he got hit in the head toward the end of game 5 and was off for the rest of that game too iirc

ciderpress, Friday, 12 May 2017 17:19 (nine years ago)

im in the harden was concussed camp

this still seems like the occam's razor explanation although he was at a strip club after the game which is not high on my list of places i'd want to be if i was concussed.

call all destroyer, Friday, 12 May 2017 17:34 (nine years ago)

haberstroh:

Pull up data on NBA.com and you'll see that Harden dragged along at a snail's pace in Game 6 with an average speed of 3.36 miles per hour. That was the slowest of any player that played at least 10 minutes in the game.

It gets worse, the next slowest guy, Eric Gordon, registered 3.97 miles per hour, according to the player tracking data, which means that Harden was moving 50 feet per minute slower than the next slowest guy. Consider the tickling fact that Jonathon Simmons could have stood in place for six straight minutes on the floor and he still would have covered more ground than Harden in equal minutes.

wow
