Motor, effort

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 3 March 2017 00:53 (seven years ago) link

he could Average like 5-6 boards with minimal effort

Lebro v. Wade (Spottie), Friday, 3 March 2017 02:08 (seven years ago) link

remember seeing a study a while ago about what makes players good rebounders and the thing that had the highest correlation with getting lots of rebounds was trying to get lots of rebounds

A lot of rebounding is technique and boxing out but Barkley once said "I see the ball and I go get it"

heh

lag∞n, Saturday, 4 March 2017 04:19 (seven years ago) link

Basically there are just two major parts to rebounding: getting close enough to the ball so you can grab it and keeping opposing players from getting close to the ball so they can't rebound it. Anything that applies to rebounding well fits either one category or the other.

spottie, you looked confused but this is a reference to the fact that the warriors had a 3-1 lead in the 2016 nba finals but lost three games in a row to lose the 2016 nba finals to the cleveland cavaliers

nice cage (m bison), Saturday, 4 March 2017 06:22 (seven years ago) link

i thought u were above this smh

Lebro v. Wade (Spottie), Saturday, 4 March 2017 06:25 (seven years ago) link

i dont understand. above this like the warriors were above the cavs in the finals?

nice cage (m bison), Saturday, 4 March 2017 06:27 (seven years ago) link

I figured he meant above like how lebron james lifted the larry obrien trophy above his head in a sign of victory

feels like draymond is the frontrunner for DPOY w Gobert in 2nd Kawhi in 3rd. id be down with any of those three winning it but draymond has a few 'game saving' plays to his credit this year.

Lebro v. Wade (Spottie), Tuesday, 7 March 2017 22:51 (seven years ago) link

I haven't really picked up on what people are saying about dpoy but it should be Rudy

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 7 March 2017 22:58 (seven years ago) link

They're both elite in drtg but Gobert is much more of the anchor/more indispensable to what they do

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 7 March 2017 23:01 (seven years ago) link

anchor vs versatility. both essential to their teams success

Lebro v. Wade (Spottie), Tuesday, 7 March 2017 23:05 (seven years ago) link

I just feel like when draymond sits things are still ok, at least when they had Durant.

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 8 March 2017 02:44 (seven years ago) link

gobert a hair ahead in DRPM (they're 1 and 2), but that can probably be attributed to the height prior

k3vin k., Wednesday, 8 March 2017 02:47 (seven years ago) link
