i have something to say about the offseason THE 2016 NBA OFFSEASON

there's distinct chance that we saw peak curry last season and klay has topped out, so even with kd, the dubs may be several games shy of matching 73 next season. plus, they'll save a bit more juice for the offs than they did last season.

even if KD had one back there only would have been 3 teams w/ a chance of winning the title. saying the league is now anti-competitive feels arbitrary.

but the cavs lost moz.gov and delly, worth $100 million between them, so they're relegated next season

have a feeling adding a perennial mvp candidate that does everything perfectly to a team that already plays on a string wont be that hard

this is not a miami or boston (who won the title in their first year and started out scorching btw) all new team type scenario

I think we all agree that dubs plus kd will be a very strong team and the odds on favorite to win it all, regardless of whether they beat 73 wins next season. They'll win enough to be the #1 seed with home court all through and that's all that matters. against all expectation, the dubs struggled in the offs this year and lost, so not every crystal ball tells the truth, ok?

yeah that's why i never actually place a bet - odds for top 3 teams make it just about pointless, teams not in top 3 you know you are almost definitely throwing your money away. i could talk myself into thinking 'well if not the dubs or cavs then who' and deciding the clippers (or that the clips are maybe as likely as the spurs w/ better odds). i remember almost putting money on the thunder at 20-1 like shortly before the playoffs and then just kicking myself for not doing it when they were up 3-1 but hey guess at close as they came i would've lost that money anyway. basically this is why i never gamble on bball. when i can get the steelers at 12-1 and the cards at 15-1 (and the falcons at 65-1 - how dare they) to win the superbowl.
