maybe it's a "well we gotta spend this money somehow!" situation & maybe they're looking at the fact that he was just recently traded for two first round picks but.... i'm not inclined to generously interpret anything the lakers do in free agency

yeah if you sign dwight you basically have to admit that he's gonna miss like 1/3 of the regular season games but just 2 playoffs ago he like singlehandedly beat the blazers w/ LMA and he can still bring it when he wants to

i think houston went really sour cuz the culture is shit & harden is a bad teammate. also i think that up & down style was tough on dwight's body. if i was a team like the blazers or the hornets that could get him out of the spotlight and put him in a system that is more amenable to his strengths i would try & sign him provided he doesn't want $130 million or whatever.

basically i just wouldn't hold last year against him

like if the heat could convince him to take 4/80 or something i would do it. i think he's still good.

if moz is getting 4/65 and joakim is getting 4/72 then even 4/100 on dwight wouldn't be insane imo

dwight on the celtcs seems like a bad idea even tho he'd be a great fit w/ their roster

that's a pretty fair assessment jord, but i just assume he is going to want the full max and prob won't ever consider going to a PNW city like portland, he is too image-conscious to fully be a backseat guy

i am pretty okay w/ this parsons thing but ugh that a guy on that level gets the max and i'm doing all i can not to picture pdx's perimeter D with lillard, mccollum, and parsons as starters yeesh

parsons is an ok defender iirc

parsons is fine if he's like your second best perimeter defender. but if he's your best then that might be bad.

he did pretty well as a starter for us and love the dude as a person, will miss that baze gaze, but at the same time i'd feel weird about letting demarre walk (and i was cool w/ that move even though he was my favorite player on the hawks) but betting huge on bazemore.
