wiggins has too much upside to trade he scored 20pts a game on 46% shooting in his 20 y/o season and is built like some sort of basketball robot, which is not to say theyre arent some troubling signs w his 3pt shooting defense and animic assist and rebound numbers, the way he plays now hes basically a one dimensional chucker who cant even shoot from deep, but i think u still gotta roll the dice and see if he can improve his weaknesses, hes also the same age as KAT so they cn develop together

lag∞n, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 20:59 (ten years ago)

players like wiggins just dont get traded at this stage in their careers is how i break it down to an extent

lag∞n, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 21:00 (ten years ago)

The same age thing is compelling, in an unrelated way I think a butler type guy- early prime, got some experience in the OFFS, would be great to mix in to that group

I'm guilty of mostly going on eye test with Wiggins where every time I watched he seemed to have little to no noticeable effect on the game

gis for westbrook shark jump (agent hibachi), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 22:18 (ten years ago)

its not a perfect trade but an opportunity like this does not come up often

micah, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 23:11 (ten years ago)

the wolves would be crazy to do that trade, come on

k3vin k., Wednesday, 15 June 2016 00:18 (ten years ago)

they do not need to get older when the warriors are still in god mode. let them develop

k3vin k., Wednesday, 15 June 2016 00:19 (ten years ago)

I would be a terrible general manager. I don't have one coherent idea about a butler for wiggins trade. I can assess the play of teams and players, if I can watch them playing together, but a trade requires imagining the effect of a player who isn't yet on your team, while also imagining the effect of losing the player you trade away. Plus all the intricate league rules and contractual details. I'm pretty sure I'd suck at it.

a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Wednesday, 15 June 2016 00:41 (ten years ago)

there are probs fewer good GMs than there are 25ppg players

micah, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 02:51 (ten years ago)

grizz apparently scared conley is on the run, and so begins free agency

if young slothrop don't trust ya i'm gon' rhyme ya (slothroprhymes), Wednesday, 15 June 2016 15:39 (ten years ago)

conley is a good player & i get why the grizz don't want to tear down and rebuild buuuuuuuuuuuuut i dunno if i'm signing up to give mike conley $125 million

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 15 June 2016 15:42 (ten years ago)

wonder what team conley wld make sense on the league is so stacked at that position, maybe houston if diantoni get harden to play off the ball more

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 15:47 (ten years ago)

he needs to go east, they need help

moistest hoist (Spottie), Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:01 (ten years ago)

can the knicks sign anybody? they could use conley.

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:03 (ten years ago)

tru

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:04 (ten years ago)

wld think hes looking to go to a better team tho

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:04 (ten years ago)

apparently he's thinking about them

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:05 (ten years ago)

it's entirely possible that the knicks would be the team w/ the brightest future who is interested in them. they'll prob be better than memphis in 3 years.

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:05 (ten years ago)

interested in him***

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:05 (ten years ago)

conley melo zinger fropez isnt bad

moistest hoist (Spottie), Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:12 (ten years ago)

and afflolol

moistest hoist (Spottie), Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:12 (ten years ago)

ya its true most leet teams or even second tier already have a better point

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:13 (ten years ago)

the "utah jazz" could use one

ciderpress, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:32 (ten years ago)

true good call he wld be a great fit there

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:33 (ten years ago)

all this assuming melo won't join banana boat

marcos, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:34 (ten years ago)

current jazz roster + conley would be a mid-seed playoff team easy. they gave so many minutes to terrible guards this year and still only missed the offs by a game.

ciderpress, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:37 (ten years ago)

he would be good in sacramento as a defense-oriented playmaker but kings being who they are theyll prob just sign rondo for the max

if young slothrop don't trust ya i'm gon' rhyme ya (slothroprhymes), Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:39 (ten years ago)

utah def makes sense

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:40 (ten years ago)

spurs probably interested in conley too tbh i think we've discussed that one already

ciderpress, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:41 (ten years ago)

ya wld be great on the spurs too tho gotta think theyd rather have horford

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:42 (ten years ago)

knicks would totally be a playoff team with conley and have the advantage of playing in the east

k3vin k., Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:50 (ten years ago)

playoffs is a p low bar tho

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:55 (ten years ago)

utah makes sense but i think they still want to see what they can get from Exum first

moistest hoist (Spottie), Wednesday, 15 June 2016 16:59 (ten years ago)

feel like exum is so young and raw four years of conley isnt gonna be a problem for his development

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 17:02 (ten years ago)

treu

moistest hoist (Spottie), Wednesday, 15 June 2016 17:05 (ten years ago)

the east is pretty deep now!

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 15 June 2016 19:06 (ten years ago)

yeah i don't think utah can afford to spend another year finding out if exum is good enough, his injury was awkward for their timeline

ciderpress, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 19:06 (ten years ago)

the east is pretty deep now!

― J0rdan S., Wednesday, June 15, 2016 3:06 PM (1 minute ago)

ehhh

k3vin k., Wednesday, 15 June 2016 19:08 (ten years ago)

not sure if having 10 not-quite-good-enough-for-the-offs teams counts as deep

ciderpress, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 19:09 (ten years ago)

theres a lot of talent but it hasn't coalesced into good teams yet

ciderpress, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 19:11 (ten years ago)

deep maybe in the sense like all the teams are pondering the futility of their existence.

nomar, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 19:11 (ten years ago)

lol

lag∞n, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 19:17 (ten years ago)

ya wld be great on the spurs too tho gotta think theyd rather have horford

Only if Duncan retires. PG is their weak link right now, plus it wouldn't surprise me if spurs nab pau for the MLE.

6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 15 June 2016 19:21 (ten years ago)

Like conley-green-kawhi-aldridge-duncan, with Gasol and Parker off the bench? Wooooo

6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 15 June 2016 19:23 (ten years ago)

this offseason could get wild

ciderpress, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 19:23 (ten years ago)

all i'm saying is that in the 3 seasons previous to this one, the 8th seed into the east got in with 38 wins. this year, the pistons had 44 wins. that's not an insignificant jump. the knicks finished with 32 wins last year, so a few years ago seasons just adding conley would have made them a playoff team but i don't think that is true anymore.

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 15 June 2016 19:31 (ten years ago)

i think this year it became pretty clear that the floor of the east got raised, maybe even above the west (the records bear that out at least, maybe it will revert back this season if teams like houston, utah and new orleans have better seasons)

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 15 June 2016 19:33 (ten years ago)

floor for playoff contenders i mean. obv sixers, nets etc were as bad as ever

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 15 June 2016 19:35 (ten years ago)

blazers fired their broadcasting crew. bless u all today for indulging my years of moaning about Mike and Mike, but they are no more

Clay, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 20:07 (ten years ago)

wow thats kinda big no?
