oh I mean they'll let him ride out his contract I'm sure, although dumping him as a rental in February wouldn't be impossible imo. next offseason he's all kinds of gone

i guess i mean more, like, i don't really get what his place in the league is going to be., and how does that stack up with his self-perception

ah. yeah I got no idea, he's got to have poisoned the well in terms of his media and general fan perception for many teams/markets. but I could totally see him on the Knicks in a year by FA or even sooner by trade, bc I can see dolan/phil falling for the illusion of his marquee value

yeah that is. they are four years apart in age. but wiggins on that rookie contract and will need to get that new big $$ at the end of that where Jimmy's contract will look really great if he continues to play at the pace he has been.

wiggins has a higher ceiling but theres no guarantee hell pan out, jimmys already a very good two way player, obvs theres no way the wolves do it but its interesting to think abt

seemed like a lot of last season was some combo of overused and injured, hes prob best suited to being a second scoring option/lockdown defender, where the bulls were using him as a first option and his D suffered because of it

i really don't think they want to trade wiggins though

wiggins has too much upside to trade he scored 20pts a game on 46% shooting in his 20 y/o season and is built like some sort of basketball robot, which is not to say theyre arent some troubling signs w his 3pt shooting defense and animic assist and rebound numbers, the way he plays now hes basically a one dimensional chucker who cant even shoot from deep, but i think u still gotta roll the dice and see if he can improve his weaknesses, hes also the same age as KAT so they cn develop together

players like wiggins just dont get traded at this stage in their careers is how i break it down to an extent

The same age thing is compelling, in an unrelated way I think a butler type guy- early prime, got some experience in the OFFS, would be great to mix in to that group

I'm guilty of mostly going on eye test with Wiggins where every time I watched he seemed to have little to no noticeable effect on the game

its not a perfect trade but an opportunity like this does not come up often

I would be a terrible general manager. I don't have one coherent idea about a butler for wiggins trade. I can assess the play of teams and players, if I can watch them playing together, but a trade requires imagining the effect of a player who isn't yet on your team, while also imagining the effect of losing the player you trade away. Plus all the intricate league rules and contractual details. I'm pretty sure I'd suck at it.
