6 god none the richer (m bison), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 00:57 (ten years ago)

celtics can top that

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 01:25 (ten years ago)

getting butler wld be sick

lag∞n, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 02:10 (ten years ago)

butler and isiah and kd is overkill imo

Clay, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 02:11 (ten years ago)

ya maybe

lag∞n, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 02:23 (ten years ago)

celtics trading the no. 3, avery bradley, one of the young dudes (rozier, young) and a few seconds for butler would be a win win for all involved, especially bc bulls should draft a new guard and move on from rose

if young slothrop don't trust ya i'm gon' rhyme ya (slothroprhymes), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 02:32 (ten years ago)

what would anyone even do w/ rose

Clay, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 02:44 (ten years ago)

oh I mean they'll let him ride out his contract I'm sure, although dumping him as a rental in February wouldn't be impossible imo. next offseason he's all kinds of gone

if young slothrop don't trust ya i'm gon' rhyme ya (slothroprhymes), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 02:53 (ten years ago)

i guess i mean more, like, i don't really get what his place in the league is going to be., and how does that stack up with his self-perception

Clay, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 02:58 (ten years ago)

ah. yeah I got no idea, he's got to have poisoned the well in terms of his media and general fan perception for many teams/markets. but I could totally see him on the Knicks in a year by FA or even sooner by trade, bc I can see dolan/phil falling for the illusion of his marquee value

if young slothrop don't trust ya i'm gon' rhyme ya (slothroprhymes), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 04:09 (ten years ago)

or some other hapless market (please not the kings those fans have suffered enough)

if young slothrop don't trust ya i'm gon' rhyme ya (slothroprhymes), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 04:10 (ten years ago)

in not news david west has opted out and will probs retire

CBS Sports NBA @CBSSportsNBA
Report: Bulls won't trade Jimmy Butler to Wolves unless they get Andrew Wiggins

interesting

lag∞n, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:01 (ten years ago)

yeah that is. they are four years apart in age. but wiggins on that rookie contract and will need to get that new big $$ at the end of that where Jimmy's contract will look really great if he continues to play at the pace he has been.

moistest hoist (Spottie), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:05 (ten years ago)

what else would have to be included? a pick?

moistest hoist (Spottie), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:06 (ten years ago)

wiggins has a higher ceiling but theres no guarantee hell pan out, jimmys already a very good two way player, obvs theres no way the wolves do it but its interesting to think abt

lag∞n, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:07 (ten years ago)

the attached article doesnt have any further details xp http://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/report-bulls-wont-trade-jimmy-butler-to-wolves-unless-they-get-andrew-wiggins/

lag∞n, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:08 (ten years ago)

thibs just wants his old crew back, trade wigg for jimmy, sign noah and start him over kat, rubio for d rose straight up

moistest hoist (Spottie), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:12 (ten years ago)

lol thats our thibs [shrug]

lag∞n, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:13 (ten years ago)

hahaha butler must be like noooooo

k3vin k., Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:13 (ten years ago)

more 39-minute per game seasons

k3vin k., Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:13 (ten years ago)

butler doesnt like hoiberg i bet he'd be cool with thibs

moistest hoist (Spottie), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:14 (ten years ago)

doesnt sound like hes going anywhere, bulls setting the price too high

lag∞n, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:16 (ten years ago)

which is reasonable hes a very good player getting the #3 pick in the draft or w/e just isnt worth it

lag∞n, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:17 (ten years ago)

yeah

moistest hoist (Spottie), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:21 (ten years ago)

he wasn't quite the same this year after he came back from his mcl sprain but he was having a great year prior

moistest hoist (Spottie), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:24 (ten years ago)

he only shot 32% from three tho. gotta get that up obv

moistest hoist (Spottie), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:24 (ten years ago)

ya thats not good

lag∞n, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:36 (ten years ago)

seemed like a lot of last season was some combo of overused and injured, hes prob best suited to being a second scoring option/lockdown defender, where the bulls were using him as a first option and his D suffered because of it

lag∞n, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:38 (ten years ago)

otm

moistest hoist (Spottie), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:43 (ten years ago)

brad would make such good use of him

if young slothrop don't trust ya i'm gon' rhyme ya (slothroprhymes), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:43 (ten years ago)

6 god none the richer (m bison), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 17:54 (ten years ago)

wiggins isn't that good i would do it

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 14 June 2016 19:01 (ten years ago)

Yeah I would jump on that right now if I were the wolves i think butler towns Rubio could get you rolling right away, maybe Wiggins has tons of potential but butler is real good now

*prays based danny jumps on it first*

if young slothrop don't trust ya i'm gon' rhyme ya (slothroprhymes), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 20:27 (ten years ago)

Would not trade a guy averaging 20 ppg his second season in the league at age 20 for Jimmy Butler.

tsrobodo, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 20:31 (ten years ago)

where does zach lavine fit in this twolves universe? 2nd unit scorer?

ciderpress, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 20:33 (ten years ago)

i really don't think they want to trade wiggins though

ciderpress, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 20:35 (ten years ago)

wiggins has too much upside to trade he scored 20pts a game on 46% shooting in his 20 y/o season and is built like some sort of basketball robot, which is not to say theyre arent some troubling signs w his 3pt shooting defense and animic assist and rebound numbers, the way he plays now hes basically a one dimensional chucker who cant even shoot from deep, but i think u still gotta roll the dice and see if he can improve his weaknesses, hes also the same age as KAT so they cn develop together

lag∞n, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 20:59 (ten years ago)

players like wiggins just dont get traded at this stage in their careers is how i break it down to an extent

lag∞n, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 21:00 (ten years ago)

The same age thing is compelling, in an unrelated way I think a butler type guy- early prime, got some experience in the OFFS, would be great to mix in to that group

gis for westbrook shark jump (agent hibachi), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 22:18 (ten years ago)

I'm guilty of mostly going on eye test with Wiggins where every time I watched he seemed to have little to no noticeable effect on the game

gis for westbrook shark jump (agent hibachi), Tuesday, 14 June 2016 22:18 (ten years ago)

its not a perfect trade but an opportunity like this does not come up often

micah, Tuesday, 14 June 2016 23:11 (ten years ago)

the wolves would be crazy to do that trade, come on

k3vin k., Wednesday, 15 June 2016 00:18 (ten years ago)

they do not need to get older when the warriors are still in god mode. let them develop

k3vin k., Wednesday, 15 June 2016 00:19 (ten years ago)

I would be a terrible general manager. I don't have one coherent idea about a butler for wiggins trade. I can assess the play of teams and players, if I can watch them playing together, but a trade requires imagining the effect of a player who isn't yet on your team, while also imagining the effect of losing the player you trade away. Plus all the intricate league rules and contractual details. I'm pretty sure I'd suck at it.

a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Wednesday, 15 June 2016 00:41 (ten years ago)

there are probs fewer good GMs than there are 25ppg players

micah, Wednesday, 15 June 2016 02:51 (ten years ago)

grizz apparently scared conley is on the run, and so begins free agency
