i mean i like watching bron but not as much as one might think based on how good he is at basketball, its not like hes duncan level of somnambulance but theres a reason why the best player since jordan has failed to achieve global icon status

ppl generally do not like watching bron play as much as one wld think, it cld be a mass moral failing or it cld be his game lacks that certain eye pleasing grace

jordan being the other end of the spectrum where ppl who didnt even like sports wld make a point of watching him just cause his game was so magnetic

steph obvs edging in on popular cult levels too tho his repeated failure to dominate the offs is prob holding him back there

kobe purposely modeled his game to be attractive but in the process lost a lot of hardcore fans by being unsound

bron completely shifted the paradigm of what it means to be dominant at basketball away from "extremely good at making mid range jump shots" and if people don't recognize it that's their problem

yeah kobe not top 5 but damn dude had a flair for drama like no other

its kinda sad we never got the 12 assists a game version of bron, playmaking along w fastbreaking are prob the funnest parts of his game, tho from an actual winning games perspective im sure it make more sense for him to score than pass and obvs he still did rack up a ridiculous pile of assists anyway

i agree i never found bron to be that compelling a player in his first couple of seasons. his teams always seem so grind-heavy and made with low quality parts

only time he ever really let himself be coached was in miami and it worked out good

just to make sure we're all on the same page, does anyone want to argue this goes past six?

heh i think i made one of those w point guards too where i also didnt list steph but did include john wall before hed even played in the league

kyrie can be amazing but he has major major flaws

pretty insane the quality of point guards right now where you can forget that john wall exists sometimes

kyrie has insane skills and plays incredibly dumb, a true throwback chucker

wall gotta be one of the most underrated players rn

i like me some bron but i think maybe why i don't HAVE to tune in to watch him is cos he just kinda goes steady eddy through the game. Like every quarter he gets 7 points, 2 rebounds and 2-3 assists. by the end of the game he's amassed a great stat line and had major impact on the game but you rarely (especially any more) get those manic bursts and crazy quarters of pure ecstasy. curry seems to have had one of those like every game or two throughout the last two seasons.

wall is still inconsistent and still can't shoot but he's hella fun to watch

i was thinking that the success of the warriors/spurs shows the limitation of the assists stat, u need a hockey assist and hockey hockey assists stat, maybe passes per point or something lol

like i get that bron is a great distributor but at some point ur offense needs to be more sophisticated than drive and kick or w/e that bron does

ya one guy putting up big assists doesnt really work that good in todays nba like even chris paul plays off the ball sometimes

iirc i saw a stat recently that no team has won a shampionship with a player averaging over 10 assists on the team since Magic lakers
