yeah that one makes sense to me plus i bet he secretly hates playing for doc lol
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 2 June 2016 12:51 (ten years ago)

i posted it mainly for the lols of dad trades for his own son, son opts out to play somewhere else

So apparently the Hawks and sixers are talking about a Teague/Noel swap
― Heez, Thursday, 2 June 2016 22:03 (ten years ago)
Horford in San Antonio looking more likely every day.
Thought this would be as ridiculous as the title suggests but makes at least an interesting point.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSK77Asxhpo

i like teague but this feels like a heist for the hawks
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 2 June 2016 22:23 (ten years ago)
yeah the sixers should be able to do way better than teague if they want to move noel
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 2 June 2016 22:27 (ten years ago)
Is this the buzz in Atl? Haven't heard anything specific about Horford in sa.
― 6 god none the richer (m bison), Thursday, 2 June 2016 22:29 (ten years ago)
REMEmber reading a story about it somewhere, but if there's word they're looking to bring in Noel it adds up.
― tsrobodo, Thursday, 2 June 2016 22:33 (ten years ago)
heard rumblings of the magic really trying to pony up for horford which i think would be intriguing for both sides
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 2 June 2016 22:35 (ten years ago)
and then shop vooch?
― Spottie, Thursday, 2 June 2016 22:42 (ten years ago)
austin rivers playing with ten stitches and one eye mostly closed in the final playoff game with the blazers probably upped his value by at least half a mil. he even finished a few nice drives in the second half.

maybe you see if they can play together if not yeah he'd be a decent trade piece
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 2 June 2016 22:55 (ten years ago)
you can't really play them together and also play aaron gordon who i thought was supposed to be their Future
― ciderpress, Thursday, 2 June 2016 23:43 (ten years ago)
yeah right they'd have a bit of a glut there but most teams don't have the problem of having too many good players
― J0rdan S., Friday, 3 June 2016 00:03 (ten years ago)
The magic are kind of stacked but also not good which is an odd combo
― Matt Armstrong, Friday, 3 June 2016 00:19 (ten years ago)
I keep going back and forth on Elf Payton
― Matt Armstrong, Friday, 3 June 2016 00:20 (ten years ago)
I still don't really believe that Austin Rivers belongs in the NBA
― Matt Armstrong, Friday, 3 June 2016 00:21 (ten years ago)
al horford turns 30 tomorrow and he's already slowing down. i don't think anyone should be giving him a fat contract unless they're desperate to upgrade just for the next season or two - and that doesn't suit the magic's timeline.
― micah, Friday, 3 June 2016 00:33 (ten years ago)
celtics are still a good fit for that timeline
― ciderpress, Friday, 3 June 2016 00:37 (ten years ago)
maybe. i'm very low on horford.
― micah, Friday, 3 June 2016 00:44 (ten years ago)
the magic tried to sign millsap last offseason they're clearly trying to accelerate and/or sign players anyone has ever heard of. the tobias harris trade was essentially a salary dump so they're gonna do something.
― J0rdan S., Friday, 3 June 2016 01:10 (ten years ago)
idk how the magic think they'll attract a marquee free agent without a star already in place.
on the other hand, their best players (except for fournier) are all on contract through at least 2018. imo they should have some patience and spend the next season making a run at the playoffs, developing their young players value and setting up orlando as a destination where a free agent might actually achieve something. aaron gordon is only 20, now's not the time to be throwing money at an aging centre.
fournier is going to get paid, btw.
― micah, Friday, 3 June 2016 02:47 (ten years ago)
i think the thinking w/ horford is that he might come back to that part of florida
― J0rdan S., Friday, 3 June 2016 02:50 (ten years ago)
is orlando really a place people go home to
― Clay, Friday, 3 June 2016 02:51 (ten years ago)
fournier is really intriguing
― ciderpress, Friday, 3 June 2016 03:07 (ten years ago)

moving noel, on the hook for 2 (?) more years before his first off-rookie scale contact which would almost certainly be signed with the sixers for money reasons, in exchange for a one yr teague rental is maybe not the best plan for the closest thing to an nba player currently on their roster
― geometry-stabilized craft (art), Friday, 3 June 2016 14:42 (ten years ago)
hinkie must be rolling in his grave rn
― micah, Friday, 3 June 2016 14:49 (ten years ago)
i need yall to do me a favor and go on the twitter and start posting stuff like 'smart move by the sixers' and how teague would be an established leader and bring experience winning to that roster plus noel doesn't really fit on that roster and he has that injury history if yall could just do that for me thx

― lag∞n, Friday, 3 June 2016 22:19 (ten years ago)

― Spottie, Friday, 3 June 2016 22:23 (ten years ago)

― Spottie, Friday, 3 June 2016 22:24 (ten years ago)

― ciderpress, Friday, 3 June 2016 22:26 (ten years ago)
most contempo basketball shoes are so out of my realm of aesthetic appreciation anyway but im gonna disagree just on principal
― lag∞n, Friday, 3 June 2016 22:30 (ten years ago)
what do you wear to ball in?
― Spottie, Friday, 3 June 2016 22:33 (ten years ago)
not sure if i buy that the east is going to remain this easymode path to the finals for the rest of the decade, it'll prob still be true next year but theres a lot of moving parts in the nba and player contracts are relatively short. steph curry is only signed for 1 more year. strange things can happen.
― ciderpress, Friday, 3 June 2016 22:35 (ten years ago)
shamefully ive been wearing these nike running shoes that actually have p decent cross train ability like i lift in them too but prob been playing enough where i shd prob just get some basketball shoes

― Clay, Friday, 3 June 2016 22:43 (ten years ago)
