i like the dubs chances more vs a healthy cavs roster that features a Klove and Irving tied up in pick n roll hell all night. if love isnt hitting shots i don't imagine he see the floor much in crunch time. idk I'm way less nervous about this series than i was about the okc one.

could be some sweet shootouts tho

cavs are definitely the underdogs but i wouldn't underestimate the potency of lebron in the finals, he dragged that shitty injured team through 2 and almost 3 wins last year. not saying cavs will win this but it won't be a dubs sweep and won't be over in 5 games imo.

-healthy kyrie & klove could make a major difference this time around, but if they are off it might not really matter. i feel like when those dudes are on and that team is really working the cavs are very scary. they have so many off nights though.
-dubs are looking weaker than they have all year, they made it through sure but would anyone say these playoffs went the way most expected for gsw, based on the season they had? portland series went to 5, okc took it to 7. cavs are prob about equal to okc and definitely better than portland. curry still put up big numbers in some games but he has clearly not been himself in these playoffs, he's taken a beating. draymo's not himself either, and he's been doing some dumb sloppy shit and other bullshit that could get him ejected

i like spottie's idea that despite kyrie and love's added offense, it ends up being a net negative to the cavs because of what they lose on defense

kyrie in particular seems like a liability vs gsw

yeah i'm glad golden state won and loved the brutal manner in which they did so but i was kind of looking forward to seeing kyrie guard russ

one thing i remember from game 1 of last years finals was how great kyrie looked on D. he was really locked in like id never seen before. i remember thinking that could be a problem if he could keep that up for a whole game/series, but then he blew his knee up.

hope this goes 7, rooting for Warriors. The way they pulled it out last series forced my hand here, and tho I respect Lebron, I still find it hard to root for him.

I have some FB friends from ca that are/were being super snippy and butthurt about things and at 'cleveland fans' for winning without 'class' etc. I've had to remind them that that the dubs basically just stunted on the whole league for a year showing everyone up, partying at oracle, not looking at shots go in etc etc and we deserve whatever verbal lashings we get.

lots of amazing moments in this series "that block" obv and kyrie's 3 at the end but really i think those few minutes at the end of g6 that included lebron's block on curry, trash talking him and then curry fouling out almost immediately after were my favorite
