i have something to say about the offs THE 2016 NBA PLAYOFFS

I've taken a crash-course the last couple of weeks in how exasperating the Raptors can be, but I'm getting excited. A friend placed a $20 bet in Vegas for me just before the playoffs started, and I got them at 22-1. Praying that no game ever comes down to Biyombo at the line.

Does Cleveland have any good players?

RIP miami heat, condolences messy bitch drama seekers of ILH and elsewhere it just wasn't the right time

if young slothrop don't trust ya i'm gon' rhyme ya (slothroprhymes), Sunday, 15 May 2016 23:06 (ten years ago)

they did good anyway and i am proud of them

lag∞n, Sunday, 15 May 2016 23:16 (ten years ago)

you could even say they did a good job and put forth good effort

if young slothrop don't trust ya i'm gon' rhyme ya (slothroprhymes), Sunday, 15 May 2016 23:17 (ten years ago)

yeah it sucks that we won't get some righteous bron-wade mess but drake on the big stage for 4 games isn't the worst consolation

Clay, Sunday, 15 May 2016 23:27 (ten years ago)

anyways

warriors in 6
cavs in 4

Clay, Sunday, 15 May 2016 23:28 (ten years ago)

if the cavs sweep their way to the finals the league has to get rid of 4 teams.

Spottie, Sunday, 15 May 2016 23:32 (ten years ago)

nice to see lowry unshook himself. he and dd gonna need to pay near perfect to have a chance in this next series.

Spottie, Sunday, 15 May 2016 23:36 (ten years ago)

heat would've been swept just as readily as the raptors most likely will be but less ppl seem willing to say so - which, for those craving the drama or needing to hate drake or canada (or both) I can understand, but like, wade would need juice that I don't even think riley knows how to acquire to pull that off w/limited whiteside and no bosh. full strength heat could have definitely beat raps and taken cavs to 6, though, no denying that

if young slothrop don't trust ya i'm gon' rhyme ya (slothroprhymes), Sunday, 15 May 2016 23:41 (ten years ago)

in any event:

cavs over raptors in 5
warriors over thunder in 5

if young slothrop don't trust ya i'm gon' rhyme ya (slothroprhymes), Sunday, 15 May 2016 23:42 (ten years ago)

i think dubs/thunder is going 7

Spottie, Sunday, 15 May 2016 23:43 (ten years ago)

yeah it was hard for me to not say 7, but I didn't want to entertain the thunder being one game away from probably getting a chip

Clay, Sunday, 15 May 2016 23:52 (ten years ago)

every game is gonna come down to steph making or missing a 35 footer obv

Spottie, Sunday, 15 May 2016 23:53 (ten years ago)

enjoyed this minus the part about the dwight interview

lag∞n, Monday, 16 May 2016 00:18 (ten years ago)

hoping u r right!

Spottie, Monday, 16 May 2016 00:19 (ten years ago)

Cavs in 4

OKC in 6

Allen (etaeoe), Monday, 16 May 2016 00:23 (ten years ago)

--Spottie

totally cool with this happening provided he makes 4 of them at the right times

if young slothrop don't trust ya i'm gon' rhyme ya (slothroprhymes), Monday, 16 May 2016 01:03 (ten years ago)

dubs are an historically good team, but they need all their players for the offs and bogut is an important piece of the whole. dubs in 6 if bogut is back in action by game 3.

a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Monday, 16 May 2016 04:42 (ten years ago)

looking like he's gonna play tomorrow

Spottie, Monday, 16 May 2016 05:09 (ten years ago)

then it could be 5 or 6. I'm a bit hesitant to commit to either, so i'll take the coward's way out and say both.

id take the over on 5.5. def super interested to see if the twin towers look will work for OKC. should be a fun first game

Spottie, Monday, 16 May 2016 05:38 (ten years ago)

Nobody else wants to take OKC? C'mon, there's got to be another Steph hater.

Allen (etaeoe), Monday, 16 May 2016 12:22 (ten years ago)

im rooting for okc but i can't in good faith predict them to win

ciderpress, Monday, 16 May 2016 12:26 (ten years ago)

me too

marcos, Monday, 16 May 2016 12:37 (ten years ago)

i'll root for okc but i think it'll take more than bogut's injury for them to win

micah, Monday, 16 May 2016 12:55 (ten years ago)

rooting for okc against gsw but mostly I want cle to win out so that the banana boat can happen

droit au butt (Euler), Monday, 16 May 2016 12:57 (ten years ago)

thx for that link Spottie. don't read editorials regularly but that was good stuff. The NBA IS exciting now!

Nhex, Monday, 16 May 2016 13:21 (ten years ago)

I want D'Angelo Russell to post a candid vine of Luke Walton taking credit for all of the gsw's success

Sufjan Grafton, Monday, 16 May 2016 15:57 (ten years ago)

lmao yes

lag∞n, Monday, 16 May 2016 16:01 (ten years ago)

haha

Spottie, Monday, 16 May 2016 16:23 (ten years ago)

Meanwhile, Curry said Sunday his knee hasn't improved much the past week and it will just be about ''pain tolerance'' and he expects to be able to handle his regular load and production.

:\

Jenny Ondioleeene (Leee), Monday, 16 May 2016 17:49 (ten years ago)

Glad obviously that he's going to play but, you know, worries.

Jenny Ondioleeene (Leee), Monday, 16 May 2016 17:49 (ten years ago)

He'll be fine as long as the okc ball boys are up to task but sounds like classic minor surgery the second the season is done

gis for westbrook shark jump (agent hibachi), Monday, 16 May 2016 19:11 (ten years ago)

I think this is gsw in 6 or 7 but okc is gonna come in spitting fire I think

Foreseeing at least one ejection for Adams and/or draymond

gis for westbrook shark jump (agent hibachi), Monday, 16 May 2016 19:14 (ten years ago)

draymo already has 4 techs, 7 for a suspension, I bet (hope and pray) he only gets 1 this series

Spottie, Monday, 16 May 2016 19:48 (ten years ago)

Derrick Rose is bad, huh

Sufjan Grafton, Monday, 16 May 2016 19:53 (ten years ago)

would like to see a 3D plot with a salary axis

Sufjan Grafton, Monday, 16 May 2016 19:55 (ten years ago)

terrence jones had a down low insanely bad season

J0rdan S., Monday, 16 May 2016 19:58 (ten years ago)

draymond green is better than lebron james

Sufjan Grafton, Monday, 16 May 2016 20:00 (ten years ago)

on defense

Spottie, Monday, 16 May 2016 20:03 (ten years ago)

if you draw a line with -1 slope and move from the upper-right corner to the bottom-left, draymo crosses the line before anyone. therefore draymo is mvp imo.

Sufjan Grafton, Monday, 16 May 2016 20:13 (ten years ago)

obv

Spottie, Monday, 16 May 2016 20:14 (ten years ago)

Barea island down there is cracking me up

gis for westbrook shark jump (agent hibachi), Monday, 16 May 2016 21:59 (ten years ago)

No lie, I glanced at a couple of superstars before reading the axes and then found harden and lillard and knew which was defense

gis for westbrook shark jump (agent hibachi), Monday, 16 May 2016 22:00 (ten years ago)

looks like curry has since jumped above kawhi and cp3. plot needs to be updated.

Sufjan Grafton, Monday, 16 May 2016 22:11 (ten years ago)

Wait it lists Nene, is he still playing??

Jenny Ondioleeene (Leee), Monday, 16 May 2016 22:19 (ten years ago)

Also Kevin Love being a better defender than Iggy is v suspect

Spottie, Monday, 16 May 2016 22:22 (ten years ago)

Nene was on the wiz this year yeah
