personally i think the halal bros beatdown was less some masterplanning by billy donovan and more something he ran into as he shuffled his lineups around but def credit to him for realizing it was actually working and not just defaulting back to ibaka

J0rdan S., Friday, 13 May 2016 19:01 (ten years ago)

ya but their success was prob more due to rebounding than otherwise bad d xp

lag∞n, Friday, 13 May 2016 19:03 (ten years ago)

yeah i just dont know how well 'get all the rebounds' works vs a team that makes a lot more of their shots than the spurs

ciderpress, Friday, 13 May 2016 19:07 (ten years ago)

gsw also a better rebounding team than the spurs iirc

ciderpress, Friday, 13 May 2016 19:10 (ten years ago)

cleve did so much better than they shldve with its def worth a look with an actually talented team, of course that all ended when the dubs went small but theres no guarantee thatll work every time

lag∞n, Friday, 13 May 2016 19:11 (ten years ago)

thunder def need to release their perimeter guys extremely quickly on every shot and prob any of their bigs thatre north of the ft line too

lag∞n, Friday, 13 May 2016 19:13 (ten years ago)

i feel like they cld deal w the disadvantages of going big in the halfcourt but obvs if they cant get back on D enough to bother the gs break its hopeless

lag∞n, Friday, 13 May 2016 19:14 (ten years ago)

adams and kanter arent slow

lag∞n, Friday, 13 May 2016 19:15 (ten years ago)

kanter's not slow he just sucks at defending pick and rolls

ciderpress, Friday, 13 May 2016 19:21 (ten years ago)

he a very bad defender for sure dont get me wrong but he just might be their best... chance

lag∞n, Friday, 13 May 2016 19:24 (ten years ago)

he so good on offense/ rebounding its nuts

lag∞n, Friday, 13 May 2016 19:24 (ten years ago)

hed put up huge allstar numbers on a team that needed scoring and didnt care if he defended

lag∞n, Friday, 13 May 2016 19:25 (ten years ago)

anyway they can always put iblocka in there if ness

lag∞n, Friday, 13 May 2016 19:25 (ten years ago)

i def think the thunder are capable of winning this series but billy donovan does not inspire confidence

ciderpress, Friday, 13 May 2016 19:30 (ten years ago)

id say its a p big longshot, hoping a couple warriors stars arent completely at full health is prob their best bet

lag∞n, Friday, 13 May 2016 19:33 (ten years ago)

the warriors must be stopped

ciderpress, Friday, 13 May 2016 19:34 (ten years ago)

after that steph 17pt overtime i gave up

lag∞n, Friday, 13 May 2016 19:35 (ten years ago)

if westbrook plays good tho of course anything is possible a light def seemed to go off after he had that alltime terrible game three second half

lag∞n, Friday, 13 May 2016 19:38 (ten years ago)

the warriors must be stopped

I'd be happy enough to see them top off an historically great season with a championship, but loathe to see them become an unstoppable dynasty, bcz dynasties are boring. the dubs need a nemesis. not sure the cavs are up to filling that position.

a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Friday, 13 May 2016 19:42 (ten years ago)

Come the finals the Dubs will be so exhausted the Cavs will roll all over them.

Mr. Snrub, Friday, 13 May 2016 20:10 (ten years ago)

it's their year

Clay, Friday, 13 May 2016 20:15 (ten years ago)

they got the momentum baby

lag∞n, Friday, 13 May 2016 20:16 (ten years ago)

Come the finals the Dubs will be so exhausted the Cavs will roll all over them.

Oh so like last year then.

Jenny Ondioleeene (Leee), Friday, 13 May 2016 20:40 (ten years ago)

kanter has been a much improved defender in the playoffs imo

micah, Friday, 13 May 2016 21:05 (ten years ago)

Come the finals the Dubs will be so exhausted the Cavs will roll all over them.
--Mr. Snrub

not sure I agree 100 percent on your police work there irv

Pretty crazy they didn't try the twin towers look more during the reg season. Maybe Donovan is a genius!

i wonder how much analytics influences college basketball, are there enough games in the season to build up datasets on yr players?

demar n goran both shredding

lag∞n, Saturday, 14 May 2016 01:00 (ten years ago)

Ugh, did not enjoy watching the Raps circle the drain in the fourth quarter

Nhex, Saturday, 14 May 2016 02:39 (ten years ago)

Feel like the raps would get swept by the cavs but the heat could squeak out a couple wins

Spottie, Saturday, 14 May 2016 03:42 (ten years ago)

how has that series not been humanely euthanized already

Clay, Saturday, 14 May 2016 04:07 (ten years ago)

that was a fun game. it was almost like a pickup game. dragic had any open lane to the rim that he wanted.

this prob says more about the raptors than anything but justise winslow started at center tonight in a playoff game and has also been checking their entire backcourt all series

J0rdan S., Saturday, 14 May 2016 04:14 (ten years ago)

i feel like this series is the raptors roster hitting the wall but i was surprised dwayne casey didn't go super small tonight. lowry-ddr-powell-ross-demarre is prob their best bet vs the super small heat whenever they take biyombo out cuz pat pat & jason thompson really weren't cutting it. and the heat were roasting them anyway even with biyombo in and he never really experimented.

J0rdan S., Saturday, 14 May 2016 04:16 (ten years ago)

josh richardson was amazing tonight too if he doesn't crash back to earth next season he looks like one of the best second round picks in a while

J0rdan S., Saturday, 14 May 2016 04:17 (ten years ago)

dwayne casey def gets fired if they lose on sunday right

J0rdan S., Saturday, 14 May 2016 04:18 (ten years ago)

I like j rich jr

Spottie, Saturday, 14 May 2016 04:33 (ten years ago)

Casey might get fired anyway tbf

Spottie, Saturday, 14 May 2016 04:33 (ten years ago)

Series was weird already but the bigs injuries really threw it for a loop. Hoping game 7 goes to OT

Spottie, Saturday, 14 May 2016 04:37 (ten years ago)

its ridiculous this is the series we got game 7 of

lag∞n, Saturday, 14 May 2016 04:39 (ten years ago)

the series with the most equally flawed teams

J0rdan S., Saturday, 14 May 2016 04:40 (ten years ago)

in that regard it kind of makes sense

Nhex, Saturday, 14 May 2016 07:34 (ten years ago)

In the playoffs, players I have listed as centers have played 11.1% of all minutes as compared to 18.9% in the regular season.

that lowry half court shot feels like it happened 2 months ago

J0rdan S., Sunday, 15 May 2016 19:38 (ten years ago)

each one of these games lasts a week

lag∞n, Sunday, 15 May 2016 19:48 (ten years ago)

you lose three years off the back end of your life for every raptors heat game you watch caution

Clay, Sunday, 15 May 2016 20:35 (ten years ago)

u can regain them by drinking from the stanly cup on the capitol step of mighty ottawa

lag∞n, Sunday, 15 May 2016 20:37 (ten years ago)
