It seemed like just a case of zbo getting hot for a week but maybe you really can beat up the Spurs inside in the playoffs

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 13 May 2016 02:05 (ten years ago)

as they are presently constructed, yeah

something is deeply wrong about all of this

if young slothrop don't trust ya i'm gon' rhyme ya (slothroprhymes), Friday, 13 May 2016 02:13 (ten years ago)

parker and dannny green played pretty well this series and it still feels like they also don't quite have enough in the backcourt either

J0rdan S., Friday, 13 May 2016 02:15 (ten years ago)

spurs are just aging out it's not weird except for the part where they won 67 games during the reg season in spite of it

ciderpress, Friday, 13 May 2016 02:16 (ten years ago)

patty and manu were basically non factors, thats a big reason why

6 god none the richer (m bison), Friday, 13 May 2016 02:17 (ten years ago)

honestly, the spurs defense was p good up until this game. they held okc under 100 for 4 games, the bad part was losing 2 of them at home. their offense was just predictable and flat.

6 god none the richer (m bison), Friday, 13 May 2016 02:18 (ten years ago)

they sort of have a thibs/bulls kinda thing going on now where they have such a strong system/culture that they excel in the regular season but it sorta cracks in the playoffs

J0rdan S., Friday, 13 May 2016 02:18 (ten years ago)

calm down, they won the title two years ago, we are talking about a sample size of 2 series.

6 god none the richer (m bison), Friday, 13 May 2016 02:19 (ten years ago)

this is crazy, sooooo not what I expected from this series

marcos, Friday, 13 May 2016 02:20 (ten years ago)

ethan strauss from espn said on a true hop podcast the other day that someone from the warriors told him that the spurs offense was much more predictable/easier to defend than people think

J0rdan S., Friday, 13 May 2016 02:20 (ten years ago)

bc it is! dump the ball into the post, try some shit, works? shoot. dont work? pass to someone. oh shit look at the time *heaves*

6 god none the richer (m bison), Friday, 13 May 2016 02:22 (ten years ago)

yeah

meanwhile if the thunder blow this durant will leave and it will be the most crippling loss in recent nba history

J0rdan S., Friday, 13 May 2016 02:26 (ten years ago)

marc stein just tweeted that the spurs are interested in mike conley yessssss

6 god none the richer (m bison), Friday, 13 May 2016 02:30 (ten years ago)

that makes a lot of sense

J0rdan S., Friday, 13 May 2016 02:33 (ten years ago)

this OKC collapse would be amazing

J0rdan S., Friday, 13 May 2016 02:33 (ten years ago)

mike breen is amazing at announcing stunning momentum shifts

J0rdan S., Friday, 13 May 2016 02:35 (ten years ago)

oh god timmy

J0rdan S., Friday, 13 May 2016 02:41 (ten years ago)

:(

6 god none the richer (m bison), Friday, 13 May 2016 02:42 (ten years ago)

damn they were right there

always be charging (rip van wanko), Friday, 13 May 2016 02:44 (ten years ago)

we need tmac right now

6 god none the richer (m bison), Friday, 13 May 2016 02:48 (ten years ago)

marc stein just tweeted that the spurs are interested in mike conley yessssss
― 6 god none the richer (m bison)

yeah i was thinking that might happen! a lot of pacers fans want to sign him because he's an indiana guy. i'm not convinced - he's 28 and just missed half the season with a foot injury.

micah, Friday, 13 May 2016 02:53 (ten years ago)

he missed like 25 games

6 god none the richer (m bison), Friday, 13 May 2016 02:54 (ten years ago)

mike conley would be perfect and i endorse it

ethan strauss from espn said on a true hop podcast the other day that someone from the warriors told him that the spurs offense was much more predictable/easier to defend than people think

ya kinda weird they abandoned the crazy ball movement that one them a title

lag∞n, Friday, 13 May 2016 03:00 (ten years ago)

i am happy for conley to go to the spurs also

micah, Friday, 13 May 2016 03:01 (ten years ago)

looks like tp is due $15 mil for the next two years? and david west has a player option for 1.5 next season haha

micah, Friday, 13 May 2016 03:01 (ten years ago)

conley isnt a max player, but he'll be at least 12-15 mil a year, so the spurs will have to shed some salary to make it work. bet patty mills and boris are on the block.

6 god none the richer (m bison), Friday, 13 May 2016 03:07 (ten years ago)

i guess i'd actually like conley better if he made more than one and a half threes a game but maybe with a spreadier offense than whatever the grizzlies were doing the past few years might open him up some

Clay, Friday, 13 May 2016 03:09 (ten years ago)

spurs have developed tony into a three point shooter, theyd find spots on the floor for him to hit em (the corner especially)

6 god none the richer (m bison), Friday, 13 May 2016 03:10 (ten years ago)

Someone actually asked a relevant and substantive coaching question and popvich went with "are you a coach now?"

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 13 May 2016 03:14 (ten years ago)

congrats to the refs on defeating the spurs

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Friday, 13 May 2016 03:14 (ten years ago)

refs undefeated, GOATs

6 god none the richer (m bison), Friday, 13 May 2016 03:20 (ten years ago)

Crazy that ibaka is like the 5th best player on okc now

Spottie, Friday, 13 May 2016 03:52 (ten years ago)

Pretty sad we didn't get a game 7

Spottie, Friday, 13 May 2016 03:53 (ten years ago)

xp
kd
russ
refs
adams
ibaka?

6 god none the richer (m bison), Friday, 13 May 2016 03:55 (ten years ago)

congrats to the great nba coach billy donovan

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Friday, 13 May 2016 04:00 (ten years ago)

Something like that xp

Spottie, Friday, 13 May 2016 04:01 (ten years ago)

seriously tho it sucks kd is gonna entertain like a dozen teams trying to court him this summer and there will be a zillion articles about it and then he'll resign with the thunder and I will die of boredom

Clay, Friday, 13 May 2016 04:27 (ten years ago)

ya rly, this series should put to bed any idea that he's leaving.

6 god none the richer (m bison), Friday, 13 May 2016 04:28 (ten years ago)

so basically go dubs, trash the fuck out of this wack association

6 god none the richer (m bison), Friday, 13 May 2016 04:35 (ten years ago)

idk things cld look diff if the dubs destroy them xp

lag∞n, Friday, 13 May 2016 04:42 (ten years ago)

Swear every game these teams have played the last couple years has been close.

Spottie, Friday, 13 May 2016 04:50 (ten years ago)

And they destroy the dubs on the glass so if bogut is out...

Spottie, Friday, 13 May 2016 04:50 (ten years ago)

Could just go death lineup for 35 minutes a game tho

Spottie, Friday, 13 May 2016 04:50 (ten years ago)

ya my memory is more close games until the dubs win by 15

lag∞n, Friday, 13 May 2016 05:55 (ten years ago)

I want 4 repeats of that ESPN game earlier this year where steph won it with a 35 footer at the buzzer

ciderpress, Friday, 13 May 2016 13:00 (ten years ago)

warriors are obviously favored but i at least hope it's a real contest

marcos, Friday, 13 May 2016 13:03 (ten years ago)

haha yea he was testy

marcos, Friday, 13 May 2016 13:04 (ten years ago)

q: "after such an amazing 67-win season, are you disappointed with this result"
pop: "everyone gets disappointed, only one team in the end is not disappointed"
