duncan had some ok stretches tonight, and this wouldnt be a conversation is lma hits a few of them open looks. its just a matchup nightmare for the spurs, tho.

It wouldn't be a conversation but it still probably would be the right thing to do

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 03:05 (ten years ago)

Spurs fan friend is reminding me of pop's long history of going down with the old vet ship: Van exel, mcdyess, Finley

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 03:10 (ten years ago)

finley won a ring tho

6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 11 May 2016 03:19 (ten years ago)

6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 11 May 2016 03:20 (ten years ago)

nick van exel is 4 years older than timmy

Clay, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 03:25 (ten years ago)

So is Ted Cruz

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 03:30 (ten years ago)

maybe we can sign em both to 10-day contracts to climb on steven adams treetrunk legs and stay gripped onto him until he gives up playing basketball

6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 11 May 2016 03:34 (ten years ago)

that game was nuts, sorry bison. kawhi was incredible espesh in the 2nd q he was giving everyone the business.

Spottie, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 04:30 (ten years ago)

okc/gsw would be just as great, more scoring too

Spottie, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 04:41 (ten years ago)

it would not, shut up

6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 11 May 2016 04:49 (ten years ago)

Inside the NBA was so great tonight. Skipping commercial breaks so they could finish their therapy session with Dwight <3

They're so much better during the playoffs when they care and actually watch games

Spottie, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 05:52 (ten years ago)

inside was good and shaq wasn't there hmm hmm

Clay, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 06:03 (ten years ago)

yeah dwight was good on there

Spottie, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 06:05 (ten years ago)

jesus those parker 15 footers god why

moullet, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 12:45 (ten years ago)

yeah Parker was brutal those last few minutes

frogbs, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 12:54 (ten years ago)

is the controversy that kawhi tried to intentionally foul RWB but they didnt call it (calling the and 1 instead)

, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 13:00 (ten years ago)

yes plus a bunch of other missed calls in favor of okc in the 4th

ciderpress, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 13:06 (ten years ago)

the fix is in

, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 14:15 (ten years ago)

spurs losing cause okc has the two best players in the series

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 15:31 (ten years ago)

Leonard is better than russ. But point taken.

6 god none the richer (m bison), Wednesday, 11 May 2016 15:34 (ten years ago)

kawhi is great but i think what were seeing is the ability to own the hell out of an opposing defense no matter what they do is still king in the nba

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 15:38 (ten years ago)

also my bb steven adams is shining in the spotlight

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 15:39 (ten years ago)

spurs will still prob win the series but it shdve been much easier than this, team is displaying strong signs of "dont have that next level"

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 15:40 (ten years ago)

anyway congratulations to the golden state warriors i admit that i was rooting against you because i live for drama, i give up now

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 15:44 (ten years ago)

btw couple real bad calls down the stretch there wow

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 15:46 (ten years ago)

spurs losing cause okc has the two best players in the series

― lag∞n, Wednesday, May 11, 2016 11:31 AM (43 minutes ago)

smh

k3vin k., Wednesday, 11 May 2016 16:16 (ten years ago)

i would love to see a breakdown of overall merchandise/etc. sales by team/player

, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 16:18 (ten years ago)

my opinion is still that the warriors must be stopped

ciderpress, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 16:18 (ten years ago)

sry kev sometimes u gotta just face the truth!

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 16:20 (ten years ago)

scoring on a 1-4 fastbreak is more valuable than consistently hitting open threes because open threes tend to get rare come the offs

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 16:21 (ten years ago)

yes if there is anything late game russell westbrook has taught us over the past 5 years it's that he can be counted on to make the right decision in 1 on 4 situations

k3vin k., Wednesday, 11 May 2016 16:24 (ten years ago)

well luckily most of the game isnt the late game

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 16:25 (ten years ago)

westbrook played better than kawhi last night ergo is better than kawhi

k3vin k., Wednesday, 11 May 2016 16:26 (ten years ago)

i mean obvs russ is very flawed but hes also consistently taking one of the alltime great Ds out of their comfort zone, its not unrelated that okc are a great offensive rebounding team

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 16:26 (ten years ago)

kawhi is great but hes a lil bit overrated due to the nba efficiency fallacy

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 16:28 (ten years ago)

if he really is the 2nd best player in the league spurs shd be winning this easily

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 16:29 (ten years ago)

i do think we can rebury the notion that kawhi has passed or caught up to KD

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 11 May 2016 16:32 (ten years ago)

the thing about westbrook is that he has distinct flaws that can be very harmful to his team but like the way he played last year when KD was out was superhuman transcendent

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 11 May 2016 16:33 (ten years ago)

naw kawhi is a top 10 player and maybe top 5 but not top 2. he's also the youngest player in the top 10 though....

ciderpress, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 16:33 (ten years ago)

kawhi is amazing but not top 2

marcos, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 16:34 (ten years ago)

in a more structured system aka "when durant is healthy and okc must play like a normal basketball team" he's much more problematic and perhaps less useful than "we need you to put up 35/10/10 every game" & so i could see how one might prefer kawhi but i'm not sure that necessarily makes kwahi... "better"

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 11 May 2016 16:34 (ten years ago)

was Duncan good earlier this season, I can't remember. for the rare athlete who can stay productive past 32-33 yrs old, when it finally goes (always by 39 or 40) it goes like *overnight*

http://espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/2016/story/_/id/15494567/nba-playoffs-2016-cleveland-cavaliers-continue-hitting-3-pointers

some crazy stats

The Cavs shot better from the 3-point line in the series (51 percent) than on shots from 3 feet and closer (48 percent).

Love, Frye and J.R. Smith all had games in the Hawks series in which they made at least six 3s. It's the first time in history a team has had three players do that in a series.

The Cavs are the first team in history to make at least 15 3-pointers in four straight games, regular season or playoffs. Not even the groundbreaking Warriors have done anything like that.

In the four-game series, the Cavs made 77 3-pointers. The most they'd made in any four-game stretch this season was 61. The most the Warriors made in a four-game stretch was 68.

The Cavs hit 77 3-pointers and 81 2-pointers in the series. No team is history has made more 3s than 2s in a series, but before this the closest was 25 more 2s than 3s.

Six Cavs shot 48 percent or better from 3-point range (James settled for 42 percent) and seven players made at least four.

marcos, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 16:44 (ten years ago)

truly nuts

lag∞n, Wednesday, 11 May 2016 16:47 (ten years ago)

duncan was still one of the best defensive bigs this season, he's not good on offense anymore though
